We Stayed At The Venezia And Irene Hotel In Falira

We stayed at the Venezia and Irene hotel in Faliraki. It was my and my friends first holiday, so we were a bit worried how it would turn out, but there was no need to worry the staff were lovely, it wasn't far from the shop, bars and restaurants! The hotel would book you a taxi, which would only be €6!

Myself Along With My Wife And Daughter Stayed At T

Myself along with my wife and daughter stayed at the Venezia in May 2007. It was our first holiday to Rhodes, so we were a bit apprehensive as the hotel is located on the outskirts of Faliraki, which over the years has gained a reputation for drunken brawls. We need not have worried as both the hotel and Faliraki itself were very welcoming.

The hotel is situated on the top of a hill which meant a 2 mile uphill walk from the town centre, a taxi cost about 6 Euros approximately £4. The benefit of the hill top location meant we had great views plus uninterrupted sunshine all day long. The hotel is family run and all the staff Sam, Maria, Takis, Ricky, Nickos and Sally were great, really friendly and welcoming. The free shots in the bar of a night time may be swaying my view though.

The hotel had a new restaurant installed for this season and it is worth every penny, or cent, they spent on it. A three course meal for 3 cost around 24 Euros (approx £17) I would recommend the Feta Saganaki as a starter. The bar stays open until the last person leaves and serves up a great non-alcoholic fruit cocktail for the kids. We all enjoyed the Karaoke nights but I'm not sure if they could take my rendition of Mustang Sally again. The bar leads onto an outdoor veranda, which in turn leads onto a soft play area/ball pit for the young ones, they really have thought of everything!

We stayed in a self catering studio, which was perfectly adequate for our needs, it consisted of 2 single beds plus a chair bed for our daughter, a fridge, breakfast table, kettle, crockery plus electric twin plate for cooking. We never cooked anything as the restaurant was so good. The bathroom was very spacious apart from the shower, which was probably the smallest and most powerful I've ever experienced. Each of the studios had their own private balcony with table and chairs.

The pool area was fantastic, big main pool plus small children's pool, children's play area, all day sun, plenty of loungers, inflatables plus it's own bar that served drinks and hot food all day.

All in all, this is a fantastic hotel, which I would recommend to anyone. It's that good we're already organising our return next year.

Overall Venezia Hotel Was A Lovely Place To Stay.

Overall Venezia Hotel was a lovely place to stay. would recommend. (luckily we were in a new room and were able to buy air conditioning. Some rooms don't have it. Only 35 euros a week. Well worth it so you get a good night sleep...or day!)

The Venezia Resort In Rhodes Is Fantastic. If You

The Venezia Resort in Rhodes is fantastic. If you are booked to go there you're lucky as it's really popular. The family who own it are very friendly and will go far beyond other hotels to make your stay a great one. The hill is quite a walk, but what a view you have, it's certainly the best place to stay to get the whole package of a great holiday. The pool and facilities are fantastic, just don't do the karaoke night!!

The Rooms At Venezia And Irene Hotel Were Lovely A

The rooms at Venezia and Irene hotel were lovely and clean, Basic but nothing unexpected for the reasonable price.

We stayed in a self catering apartment and found the facilities there to be more than adequate. The staff were great always a good laugh. The cleaners came everyday without fail and weren't too fazed at cleaning around while you stayed in bed and recovered from the night before.

The walk in to the centre took about 10 minutes down a slightly steep hill but wasn't too bad.

The distance from the centre is a bonus when you realise how nosey it must be to stop in the centre of faliraki.

The food available at the hotel was great...Pizza's were spot on!

The 24 hour bar was another big plus because it meant you didn't have to go in to the centre if you didn't fancy it.

Pool area was great loads of sun loungers and parasols available. Handy mini market on the premises great for the essentials.

Over all just a really good hotel and a fantastic atmosphere.
