Kalithea, Princess Flora Hotel

The location of the Princess Flora Hotel is, disappointingly on the outskirts of Kalithea, in an industrial area, there is a supermarket within walking distance and a smaller shop on site. We had booked the hotel though Medhotels and had arranged an all inclusive package. Our room was large, very clean (linen change three times) and contained a sink unit and refrigerator. The air conditioning (free) was very efficient (necessary in the middle of August)We found the food served in the hotel (breakfast and evening meal) was of good quality and the staff were quick to change any items that had run out. There was a good choice, usually 5 dishes as well as a salad bar and soup. Breakfast was also varied and of good quality. Lunch served at the pool bar was a different matter. The choices on offer were reminiscent of a greasy spoon cafe (Egg & Chips, Pizza, hot dog, burger etc) Paying guests had a larger, more continental choice.

The swimming pool again was clean and well maintained and sunbeds were plentiful. The surroundings were pleasant as the gardeners worked hard to ensure that the gardens were well tended. We had some problems with the bar staff who seemed to think that the All Inclusive Guests were less important and tended to leave us to wait while they served the paying guests first.
