The text of Clear:A Transparent Novel (both in lay-out and style) makes great demands on the older reader - but it grows on you after a while if you persevere. You have to have your wits about you to make out who is talking/thinking at any one time. All the characters seem to be off their heads - in the nicest possible way, of course.
