I Expected A Lot From This Asus V9280s 8x Agp Vide
I expected a lot from this Asus V9280S 8X AGP video graphics card, being as it was from Asus. Personally, I've had some minor troubles with it. A: despite the fact it's clocked faster than most Ti 4200's of the same caliber, it's 3D mark scores are only average of those normal GPU chipsets. B: I can't get the Video in to record at all, though due to issues I'm having with another video capture device on the same machine, this may not be the fault of the card. Ultimately, it's the cheapest ViVo you're going to find, and it'll hold in all 3D applications some six months after it's release. It's fan is quiet, and it comes with both RCA video and S-video ViVo, for all types of users. The DVD decoding quality is on par with the common household DVD player, though it will only fuction when you're using one moniter at a time. The software bundle was nice, including several demos as well as full version copies of Morrowind, Black Thorn and Worms blast. It also comes with your basic DV editing software and DVD XP, which is just Power DVD with a new logo. You can gain some extra 3dmark points with AGP 8X and more if you use the Nvidia reference drivers, though I've experienced some trouble with full screen video on the TV when not using Asus' drivers. It's worth it's weight, dollar for dollar, or pound for pound.
