Pure DAB-1000

I've had my DAB Pure Evoke Flow for about 2 days now(I know its a short period)and its been great. Does what is says on the tin. I had no problem getting signal with Wi-Fi or streaming music from the internet. I bought the radio after reading a review about it on http://dabreview.com It convinced me the product was decent. I'm considering getting the Pure Highway now...my friend has it and he says its perfect.

This Pure DAB-1000 is my first DAB portable and am I pleased with it? Yes. Test cricket on R5X will just blow you away with the sound quality. This device is engineered to last; it has the looks, it delivers the sound quality, and everyone at work that's seen it wants one. Run it on 2600mAh NiMH Vapex rechargables and it will cost nothing. The sound is what you expect from Pure. I use a Philips headset with mine (SHS390) which works just fine (headset is the aerial). Out of 10, I would give it 9.9

When I tried to buy a Pure DAB-1000 just after christmas it was the only unit that had sold out everywhere (except the odd retailer on the internet trying to charge £160.00 +!!). Found out that although the earphones double as an antenna I still get a very good signal (90 - 100%) when I changed the earphones for a direct lead into my speakers to enjoy a slightly louder sound!! Takes 3 AA batteries and does give the full 16 hours of play time. In the box you will also find a power adapter for use around the house (so when plugged into stereo speakers it won't cost you the earth.)

Overall a sound buy, (PURE also make the Ministry of Sound model).

Not to sure at first, all i could seem to find was BBC chanels 1-27, only aware of 5 or 6 myself, but there you go. Anyway, as i slowly sobered up, it became very clear, as does the quallity of the sound, (unreal) initially i had set my heart on the M.O.S one, but they had none left, so I bought this 1. can't say it's better or worse, cos i've never heard the mos one. but the guy in dixons said this one was better (Well he would wouldn't he.) All I can say is, just after listerning to your favorite track, on the radio, you will go looking for the eject button to put your cd back in it's case (so you don't scratch it.) only it dosn't have one, top class,
