The Radio Section Is Fantastic And Has Plenty Of P

The radio section is fantastic and has plenty of power output (4 x 50w). However, it does not like cd-r or cd-rw discs and will skip on certain cds. In my opinion, better buying a another brand like Pioneer or Sony.

This Is A Simple Case Of You Get What You Pay For.

This is a simple case of you get what you pay for. The VDO CD139 MP3 was one of the cheapest CD/Mp3 car audio players available (~AU$300). The quality of the sound is good enough to my ears. However, when playing a normal (clean) audio cd, the player skips frequently. It seems to skip regardless of if I'm driving over a supercross track or the car is stationary. Likewise, MP3 cd play also skips, although not as often as audio CDs. The bigger problem with MP3 play is that the output has chirps and other sound artifacts, like it has been ripped badly. It does this, to varying degrees, with every method of ripping and CD writing I have tried (and I've tried many methods). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product. Spend a little more and get a better one.
