My partner and I stayed at the Anthoussa beach hotel last September 2003, the weather was wonderful and our hotel was very clean and of good quality. We had a nice room which had an en-suite and balcony. However air conditioning was quite expensive but it was so hot that we had to pay for it. The hotel food was not really ideal for English guests it was all catered for the Germans, the breakfasts were not very nice, who wants to wake up spicy sausage and weird looking other things. The food was also the same in the evenings. There are so many nice restaurants around so it would have been better to go self catering really. The location straight onto the beach was lovely and the swimming pool and sunbathing area was nice but the price of sun loungers is high and it can get quite annoying with the man keep coming round. There was no evening entertainment apart from a piano night or something and that was for the Germans so we went out to the bars and discos nearby which was good fun! Beware of all the staff outside the bars trying to get you to go in, they are very persistent and don't leave you alone! But it was a very nice holiday but self catering is recommended.
