The mobile phone Moto 7 has already surpassed my wishes. It fulfils all of my requirements, is responsive, and has been trouble-free for three years. It's adaptable. It can withstand shocks (I've dropped it many times). Will update until the razor is more widely available).

Yep I'm another DEXT owner and I really wish I'd bought the HTC device.

Moto have left the UK DEXT stuck on an out-of-date software that does not allow you to download the latest apps. Moto's support is absolutely useless I am on my third handset.

Stay well away from MOTO products, there are plenty of others out there. If I'd have known that it was never going to be kept up to date I would never have gone with MOTO.

Having said that I have rooted the phone and loaded Android 2.1 ROMs myself and it works great but no thanks to MOTO who actively try to prevent you doing this.

Another UK Dext customer here. Motorola lead people on saying they would supply android 2.1 then pulled the plug. They were also slow to give updates to the buggy 1.5 version at the beginning.

Motoblur adds little and seems to be at the expense of an up to date android base.

The hardware is actually OK. The problems related to the failure to understand the android market and the companies poor customer relations. They don't feel the need to keep brand loyalty and thus seem to be at risk of loosing it. They certainly didn't capture my heart or minf

Will never buy Motorola again, poor and awefull customer service, why in hell we are not getting our upgrade on DEXT while USA is?

First and last time I will ever buy a Motorola product. I was one of the suckers who bought a Dext. Constant problems with hardware. Phone overheats. Terrible battery life. Inconsistent touch screen. Software horribly outdated, buggy and slow. Motorola's promise to update the phone and then abandonment is final straw. I hope the company goes bust.

Very disappointed in Motorola, their company view seems to be push out poor phones promising upgrades and the fail to deliver on their promises.

If you are thinking of buying a Motorola Phone DON'T as you will be stuck with an unreliable out of date phone and stuck in a long contract.

MOTOROLA = STEER WELL AWAY

I got a Motorola Dext in November and the screen became rattly within a week. I had a new replacement which had echo problem when using bluetooth, I then got a 3rd new unit that had a keyboard problem, this again was replaced with a new unit that developed a worse keyboard problem and continually re-booted and missed calls. I have now got a HTC Hero that runs Android 2.1 something the Dext will never get. I will never get another Motorola phone again. They are badly made and the customer care is the worst I've come across. You have been warned.

After deceiving u for many months, thanks motorola for announcing that my phone won't be upgraded on the very day I picked it up.

I bought a Motorola Dext in the UK based on it's co-CEO's (Sanjay Jha) press statement that the phone will be upgraded to Android 2.1. However, I was dumbfounded when Motorola decided to cancel the update, leaving me with a useless android 1.5 device. FYI, I'm a student that earns just enough to feed myself and can't afford to spend unnecessary money to upgrade phones every few months. Personal word of advice, stay away from this unethical company.

I have had an 'M' Dext for six Months. It has gone back for major faults twice,( And it's still at the engineers now as it kept freezing). I now find that Motorola will NOT be upgrading my Android 1.5 to 2.0 or above at all, that is after lying and stating it was being 'adjusted' for UK market for weeks.

I now have a phone that doesn't work, is out of date before it's seven months old, and that I can't run an up to date Operating System on!

I will never purchase a Motorola product again.
