Wildhearts, Don't Be Happy Just Worry - November 1

Wildhearts, Don't Be Happy Just Worry - November 1992 saw the first release of this double EP. It hit the shops in the formats of a Double CD set and a Double 12" Vinyl Set. The first disc is basically the "Mondo Akimbo A-Go-Go" EP which was released back in April of the same year. Following the success of "Earth Vs The Wildhearts", East West went on to re-issue the release in the format of an eight track mini-album in May of 1994. This re-release was availiable on both CD and cassette formats. If you purchase it now, you will be getting the re-issue as the original release is somewhat of a rarity now!

The Track listing is as follows:

1. Turning American

2. Crying Over Nothing

3. Nothing Ever Changes But The Shoes

4. Liberty Cap

5. Splattermania

6. Something Weird (Going On In My Head)

7. Weekend (5 Long Days)

8. Dreaming In A

We see young Ginger's love for Italian splatter films in "Splattermania", where he sings about Lucio Fulci, Jean Rollin, Troma and various nasty cult horror titles. This is a great little song, especially for anyone who's also into horror as it's a bit of a spot the film title number!

The song "Weekend" is also a bit of a crowd favorite, with it's sing-along status at the average Wildhearts gig. You'll find that this release is a fantastic purchase and an important addition to a Wildhearts collection.
