The Harvard Lampoon, Bored of the Rings - Any book that can begin with "This book is predominately concerned with making money..." could be a real "Turkey" of a read.
However, this highly satirical but extremely funny parody comes highly recommended. A word of caution though, if you haven't read the proper books or at the least seen the three films, much of the mischief making merriment will go over the reader's head!
A book that has sold in excess of 200,000 hardback copies however must be deemed a large success in the realms of parodies.
This tale tells the story of Frito, his best pal "Spam", the wizard "Goodgulf", "Legolam" the dwarf, "Goddam" and the Nozdruls the footsoldiers of the evil wizard "Sorhed".
Go on I dare you, get a copy!
