I had a well run in pair of Red Dawn interconnect along with the companies cheaper Blue Heaven, various Straightwire, Rothwell, Cambridge Audio and Van Den Hul cables over an extensive two week comparison to find a good match to replace my Exposure interconnect between power and pre-amp.
To be fair, none of the cables sounded poor, in fact all improved over the original Exposure sourced lead. Unfortunately none of the cables were in the same league when pitted against the Chord Chorus 2. I suspect it was a synergy thing but whatever it was the Chord cable simply allowed the music to flood out and I have not looked back since.
I have since replaced all my system cables with Chord Anthem 2 which really produces a beautiful and expansive sound with all music, like the Chorus only more control, more detail.
I just wanted to maximise my systems potential and have been rewarded with a very satisfying sound.
Also found Chord as a company incredibly attentive to customer requirement and are happy to loan cable through dealership and give advice on upgrading any system new or, like mine, rather old.
Would concur with previous reviewers that it is important to allow time for cables to give a true acount of their capabilities and that Red Dawn may well suit other systems perfectly well.
