Download Festival - Even though this year was a let down, I will definitely go again. The amount of huge metal bands they have lined up is amazing. Last year, in one weekend, I saw/had the chance to see bands such as Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Ministry, Audioslave, Amen, Shadows Fall, Murder One, Sepultura, HIM, Soil, Chimaira, Flint, Stone Sour, Spineshank, The Darkness, Raging Speedhorn, 80's B-line and not to mention the surprise appearance of Metallica, and they're just the bands I like -- there were plenty more, and there was also punk for the punk fans. I'm not saying this year was completely bad, they did have bands such as Metallica, Slipknot, Korn, Slayer, Damage Plan, Brides of Destruction, Hatebreed, Black Dahlia Murder, Dillinger Escape Plan, Monster Magnet, Burst, Soil, Dirty Americans, HIM, Cradle of Filth, Machine Head and Arch Enemy. If that's not all, if there wasn't a band on you liked on the two stages of last year/three stages of this year, there was so much more to do. The market stallS were great, they had fairs, Xbox/internet facilities, cafe, cinema, wrestling, skateboarding, bmx, signing tent and more that I didn't witness. Also if you camped over on the slightly more expensive field, there was a night club from 12 onwards that blasted out metal music. Although this year was a bit of a let down, it was still a fantastic festival and I know next year it will be just as good as the first year. This festival is a must for true metal fans of all ages, and those new to metal you can't get any better experience.
