I Have Been Looking For Something Like This For So
I have been looking for something like this for some time. When the first portable DAB rx's came on the market you could only use them outdoors where there was a very good signal...and they ate batteries! 2-3 hours max.
This Perstel Blue Note personal DAB receiver is smaller, more sensitive and the batteries last between 8-10 hours. It is neat and has a cool blue backlight, the earphones are nothing to shout about but coupled to a pair of good Bose or senheiser the sound quality is superb. However tuning initially is very quick, a few seconds on each multiplex is enough to setup all the stations. The manual could be clearer about changing the multiplex but once done is very easy.
One minor problem indoors, unless the signal is very strong you will lose the sound walking around. If it is on the table or bedside locker then it is fine for night time listening..until it falls over!!. It is a little unstable on its base.
Overall, quite good value for money but check the reception in your area first b4 buying. At £99.95 you need to be sure where you want to use it.
