I have watched Eastenders almost from the beginning but find that more recently I've just got it on in the background because the storylines are just diabolical. These things would not happen in real life and it is so depressing, no-one ever smiles in it. I'd be surprised if the actors weren't permanently on valium. I've made the decision to stop watching it as I'm groaning at the absurdity of it more and more often. Well done BBC you've lost a viewer!!

Who.written the story line , where Whitney gets hit by a car at 28 weeks pregnant and then the day after she's up and looks exactly like she did before the accident with no marks on her, perfect make up and not in any pain at all.

What a depressing start to a Monday! I did not like this episode at all. Bianca's return, what a disappointment so old, thin and drab, what was the point of them staying around her place looking at that poor estate with those poor children. How is that support to help Whitney "get away from pressure?" TO MUCH REALITY for a soap opera, disturbing to see druggy parents not giving a damn about their kids, nor the community they living, apart from. Bianca taking the samariton role of dishing up dinners for unwanted kids, instead of doing the right thing in reporting them to social services. Whitney getting run over, awful to watch, and unjustified.

Sick of eastenders stupid drawn out boring storylines and trying to make a silly comedy scence out of everything example burney in the cafe and annoying alfie and freddy, and making a whole scence about alfies panto, its a soap not a comedy show.Sick of the Ben Mitchell storylines and his bloody issues sooo boring.Just sick of the lot of it,and how they drag out everything for so long.Used to enjoy it but it's gone crap. And Linda and that stupid bun and the stupid gibs she's always pulling I can't stand her along with a few others.

What has happened to EastEnders? They go from one storyline to another without an ending for any of them. One commits a murder or two and manages to get away with it but yet Billy Mitchell is getting put away for being involved with a murder years ago. Stop this nonsense and make EastEnders exciting and gripping, how it used to be. Yawn, yawn.

I used to like the show, but I can't watch it ever since Nick Cotton and Dot Cotton left. The Christmas 2021 episode was awful. I can't believe Dotty's Mum went from a quiet person to a nasty drug addictive woman. People blame Nick for that but come on he died in 2015. I hate Stacey for trying to convince her Mum Jean to go back to Walford especially when Jean has got back on her feet ever since staying at this caravan park. I hate that Nick isn't Dotty's Dad. Linda is a hypocrite. She is selfish and only thinks of herself. There are so much more but let's leave it at that.

Not enambered with the new sets on Eastenders it is far too busy too many people milling around it distracts from the main characters. You are so busy watching the extras u loose the essence of the storylines.

Everytime I watch it something bad is happening. That's why I stopped watching it for a while. Make it happy for once. Basically, the same things happen. Make it happy or I'll stop watching...

After watching last night's episode, with Jenine threatening to persue residency *smugly* of the daughter she abandoned, for a round the world trip... and a special featured session of the little girl's father in a solicitor's office, being advised it would be an up-hill struggle to gain residency (in spite of him having been left to raise the little girl by himself) ... I shook my head, and sighed. Yes, in that situation, residency should be considered, but the circumstances being presented are in the minority. Legal aid has been cut, forcing many women, who sacraficed their careers to be mothers, to represent themselves in court. Including women who have suffered domestic violence. CSA payments are now assessed differently, leaving more room for fathers to manipulate the system. And shared residency, has now been brought in, causing children to be treated as if they are possessions to be split down the middle. There are many men who would like contact of their children, and some very good fathers. It seems, however, that the current gvment is completely biased towards mothers. I envisage the storyline, drawing empathy from millions of viewers, soon after - emphasis will be put on the idea of shared residency being imposed. People will think it's only to happen in unique circumstances, such as the current story-line, and will likely not be offended by the idea. However, it won't be. Just as when policies are made leading up to elections, and people think 'great'. They have no idea what the implications of such decisions will have. Mothers who's bonds with their children are un-comparible, will be seperated from their children, and thrown into emotional turmoil. Abusive men will exploit this. Every soap currently involves social workers, who seem to have more power than parents do. I'm saddened by the current story-lines.

If Lola does not get her baby back ASAP, I will not be watching Eastendeers anymore. Why always make such sad and heartbreaking baby stories. Why is there never any happiness...It has become too sad and depressing to watch.

Eastenders was compelling viewing, topical storylines, dealt with the bad stuff, good acting, humour, tragedy. But now... parts of it have become boring. Those Moon boys apart from Michael are very very boring. Maybe they were brought in for some eye candy, but thats not enough. We need strong characters and good acting. Maybe its the script writing but ever since Eddie Moon made his appearance the whole thing has gone downhill. The Phil Mitchell storyline I have completely lost interest. Who cares what happens to Phil, He is old hat now, the same old lines , the same old bullying ignorant behaviour. Its time to get him out of my life. I hope they lock him up for years but unfortunately I fear this may not happen, fingers crossed eh. Corrie won the soap award this year and they deserved it. I have not thought this in the past. The only reason I am watching Eastenders now is because it is sandwiched between the 2 Corrie episodes on a Monday and Friday. I turn over because well why not it might be good tonight. I fear there will come a time when I watch the ITV or BBC2 programme instead. RIP Eastenders

I think eastenders is the best soap to watch on tv at the moment they are always bringing real life topics into the series which are well documented and very true to real life.It is a good programme for youngsters to understand real life situations and the pitfalls that they should be aware of.I did not like the story line when a character got pregnant and how easy it was to get an abortion. I am enjoying the new story line with Whitney going off with a man she knew nothing about and went off with him it is a good warning to youngsters who could easily get in the same position.

I used to be addicted to Eastenders looking forward for each episode, since it first started but no more.
I find your show disturbing disgusting and offensive, please find new writers that will bring back the show it use to be. I am a mother who lost a child, I certainly would not steal somebody elses's. Are you trying to shock us, well I will not be watching it anymore

This programme WAS repeat WAS good, until about April/May time, i used to love this programme, i would watch this everytime it was on and not miss an episode. But then a new producer came in towards the beginning of the year, and since then it has gone right down hill, some of the best characters have been sacked. Danny Mitchell, Adam Best, Liz Turner, Libby Fox, Minty Peterson and the decade Character Cabbie Charlie Slater were all axed. Danny was a good character in the programme i liked him, adam was alright. Liz was an amzing actor, Libby was good, My two favourites though, Minty Peterson and Charlie Slater. Minty has been in the programme for 8 years and Charlie Slater for 10 years. This programme has gone right down hill, from what it used to be like, it would not bother me anymore if i missed an episode or two. If all these GOOD characters continue to keep being axed this programme will never be the same again and have loads of less viewers. I've never said this before, but even Emmerdale beats this programme at the moment.

I used to watch eastenders all the time but after the episode with ronnie and danielle both finding each other at long last i was so disappointed when she died after all that waiting why is it that all the time when something good can come of something it turns sour why couldnt ronnie have run and saved her that would have been a good ending and out of the ordinary.

i think the episode in Eastenders of danielles death was too final it took months and months of leading up to end with her simply getting run over. it was very disapointing to watch and left me feeling really down

Eastenders has managed to return to the family orientated stories that kept viewers watching throughout the 80's and 90's, however there is one fatal flaw, it is now TOO much like real families, the show now has very little drama and appears to be becoming as boring as most families are in real life, unless the writers can strike a balance between real life and real quality drama I fear Easties is heading for ratings trouble once again.
