I had a new 140/70 R17 rear tyre fitted to my Suzuki DRZ400SM K7 when the original tyres were worn out at 2500 miles. Now, having covered a further 2100 miles the rear tyre is squared off and virtually down to the wear bands - it's goosed! Not only that, but the DRZ is no heavyweight (134kg) super powerful (39hp) superbike. And I am no hot shot rider being on the wrong side of 59 years old. The grip is not very spectacular and it is easy to induce an unwanted slide on the rear not to mention the occasional heart stopping slide on the front. I'm selling the bike just now otherwise I would be looking at a pair of Michelins or Contis.

I HAVE THESE DUNLOP TYRES ON MY CBR 600RR AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THESE TYRES AND WOULD NOT BUY THEM AGAIN.
THEY GRIP OK IN PERFECT CONDITIONS BUT IF IT IS EVEN SLIGHTLY DAMP THEY LOOSE GRIP EVEN WHEN THEY ARE WARM.
THE BACK WHEEL SPINS WHEN CHANGING UP GEARS THEN SUDDENLY GRABS AGAIN CAUSING SOME VERY HEART STOPPING MOMENTS THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED IN HIGHER GEARS.
I HAVE ALSO HAD THE FRONT TYRE LOOSE GRIP AND SLIDE.
ON THE PLUS SIDE THESE ARE GOOD WEARING TYRES THAT LAST AROUND 4K. BUT BOTH FRONT AND BACK TYRES HAVE WORN AT THE SAME RATE SO NEED REPLACING AS A PAIR.
I AM NOW CHANGING BACK TO MICHELIN PILOT SPORTS.

a really good tyre on a warm clean road, but introduce a bit of cold damp weather and maybe some rain and its like riding on plastic. i've had Dunlop D208 on my '04 636 for 6 months and i've spun the back wheel 4 times on a cold start. gonna try them on a trackday soon to see how good they can be when they're really warm.

Excellent tyre choice, although I'm used to Diablo Corsas the 208's were already on the rsv mille R I bought and I was quite happy with how the scrubbed up. Sound!

Good all rounder for performance and ride. Harder centre compond for highway and soft side for hard cornering. I like to ride hard around corners and these feel great. Wear can be quick but if you want good grip it is a price you have to pay.

I had these on my first bike, a 600 Hornet. The front went rectangular and the rear square after about 3K miles. Mind you, this might have been my rubbish riding! A change to a set of Dunlop Qualifiers sorted my bike out. They are a better buy - much more grip in wet or dry, but a bit more money.
