“Racist bus drivers”

The driver for some reason did not want to stop the bus for me. I tried stopping the bus several times well in advance but he just cruised through the bus stops until he saw a lady stopping the bus 4 stops after my stop. I don't want to play the race card but this is the second time it has happened to me while I was the only person of colour getting off at a stop while using first bus. Why take the bus if I have to walk back home? Get rid of your racist drivers because they gonna hurt your business. I don't think I'm gonna be using first bus again.

“customer service”

Usually First bus is a really good company, their buses are very helpful for getting in and out of different cities and there is plenty of services availible which is good especially for a big city like Glasgow. However today (I admit this was my own fault) I had left a bag with some of my shopping items on one bus, called the lost and found for some help and the person who was speaking to my mum over the phone was quite abrupt and a bit cheeky if i'm being honest at some points. we were told that if we gave our name and number we would get a call back but so far not heard anything.

“Ripped off”

Just caught bus from Hamworthy to Poole. Normally catch More buses, but as it was raining hopped on this bus instead. I asked if the bus went back through Hamworthy and the driver said yes and it was half hourly from Poole station. This is absolute rubbish! The next bus is in 4 hours time! The driver was in training, but was accompanied by an experienced driver and he did not interject to correct him. So now I have to pay twice as much for my return journey or walk home in the rain with my son in the buggy getting wet. Thanks a bunch! You're rubbish!

“Unreliable bad service”

General bus service in manchester is ok, not great but drivers need to go on customer service courses. 425 in oldham is a shocking service, recently changed the timetable to make service more efficient but buses turn up 15 to 20 minutes late or don't turn up. Like everyone else says, first will ignore the reviews until eventually they will be shut down.

“Rude ”

36 always late in morning..today never even turned up..took ten minutes to get an answer on phone..told 5 mins away. Waited another 10!!! No comment on bus didn't show. Drivers response..At least I'm here!! Lovely service

“Rubbish”

Buses can come 5 minutes early when no one is at the stop or come 10 minutes late. They're almost never on time. The tickets are overpriced. Today I was sprinting to catch a bus and the driver closed the doors a few seconds before I arrived despite the fact I reached the stop on time. I guess he wanted his company not to make money. However there is really no alternative since First have a monopoly on the bus system. I don't really like anything about First.

“waiting the bus driver ”

11/10/2014 6pm The bus driver left the bus on a stop outside castle mall in Norwich. People were waiting for a bus driver to drive the bus for more than 30mins. On the top of that for 30 mins another bus never came. However, free wifi provided on the bus was working good

“Too chatty to be driving”

I have to take a two hour bus from King's Lynn to Norwich (X1 route) and I'd rather the bus driver was actually on the bus driving it! The drivers change and southgates and decide to talk to each other for ten minutes before actually swapping, leaving the bus and it's passengers in the road. When the next driver did eventually decide to get into the bus, not an apology was given, just a wave. This needs to be sorted, how bus drivers think they are better than everyone else and can keep their customers waiting is beyond me! If the drivers want to chat, they should be early, rather than on time for once.

“Why bother with timetables?”

The 40 from Seacroft to Leeds shows up at completely random times. Just tell us when the first bus and last bus run. No one ever knows when it'll turn up anyway! I show up to the stop ten minutes early, only to have the next bus (or two, or three) not turn up at all. In the mean time I watch 5 buses go the opposite way. I am 7 stops away from the terminus so I know it is no matter of traffic or travel time back. Don't schedule all the drivers to finish from the same line at the same time maybe? Some of us are forced to rely on public transport to get to work, and while I would rather take the bus for monetary reasons the local taxi companies must be making a killing off of the customers which First loses on a daily basis. Look! There goes another one!

“Pretty Rude ”

Service 2 and 10 The only thing I like about the bus and bus drivers, is that they get the job done. Definitely not always but they drive to our stop and drop us off on our destination. Only one driver actually has manners, the rest are just plain rude. Say the fare was 2.20 and I pay with a £5 note (because I haven't got the EXACT amount of change they want and too much change is a "hassle") and they get so angry about it. One time the driver bashed the till, then when he calmed down he gave me the change. Another driver abruptly said "Why do you never have the right change?" (even though I never seen him before) of course I don't talk back to him because I don't want to cause a stir before I go to school and I can't stand people staring at me. If I could change bus services I would but that's the only one in my area that I could go to. Also the prices are too overpriced. Weekly and monthly tickets have been increased by £4! I will start walking to school now because I have no other decent transportation that will get me there.

Rude drivers and terrible service. They are now the only bus company in my area so have no choice but to use them. This nonsense of having to have the correct change is such a ripoff.

“101 between Stafford rail station and Hanley bus station”

Yesterday morning when I was leaving Stafford the bus was 25 minutes late and the bus driver had absolutely nothing to say about it. This morning I took an earlier bus which was on time, but when coming back home to Stafford this evening the bus was 25 minutes late and all the driver had to say was "... well i wasn't driving the earlier one was I? . . ." How rude! He was clearly late because about a minute later I could see from my window that another 101 bus was just pulling in to the bus stop. In both cases I was left standing in the cold for at least 30 mins only to encounter a clueless or rude driver. First Group either employ competent drivers or install live updates at each of your bus stops. And don't advertise a 15-20 minute wait for this service because that's just a huge lie

“lateness and more buses on in the morning”

Something the buses are running late. Is because some drivers will sit in their parking bay for another 5-10 min. Also when they are asked why they are late or don't show they blame the other driver. The 73 use to be really good in the mornings. Now they gave change it to every 30 min. They are always late or never show

“Expensive monopoly”

Just got a bus for the first time in while. The 327 bus service has been cut back so instead of the service offering a quick hop down the M32 we now have to go the scenic route through Stapleton and Frenchay taking around twice the time and of course guess who pays for this privilege- that's right the passengers. £4 one way from the bus station to Hambrook - daylight robbery. Fed up with First Bus prattling on about 'trying to reduce fares' and bemoaning the fact that local Government have reduced subsidies - what a damn cheek from a company who make huge profits, provide a poor service and couldn't actually give a damn because they have the monopoly. Sign the petition set up by the local mayor - he's trying to force them into reducing fares. In the meantime, I'm not going to line their pockets so it's back to the car for me.

“Never on time or never there”

I frequently catch the 73 service from city centre to crbbs causeway in Bristol ,21:37 is frequently 15 minutes late or never comes and I have to wait another 30mins for the 74. So for a bus I have to wait 1hr It is a very unreliable service

“42 bus bristol”

Poor service. Buses run either five minutes early or ten minutes late, and are rarely on time. Often you will wait half an hour or more, only for two buses to then pass by within a space of five minutes. This is on a route which is supposed to have buses running every 20 minutes. There used to be buses every 15 minutes where I live, with alternate 41's and 42's, but about six years ago the 42 was withdrawn, and the 41 was re-numbered 42. Also, the buses are slow, and it takes about 40 minutes just to complete a five-mile journey into town. What adds considerable time to the journey is the long driver changeovers at Lawrence Hill depot, which can take anything up to 10-15 minutes. There used to be an express bus service where I lived (X67), which was substantially quicker, but this was withdrawn about four years ago. The other thing is that the fares are very expensive, especially for short journeys. The fare from my house to the local shops just one-and-a-half miles away is £3.10. Also, there is no bus service along my street on Sundays, or after 8.00pm the rest of the week.
