Mv Agusta Is Awesome To Ride, And You Dont Stop Gr

MV Agusta is AWESOME TO RIDE, AND YOU DONT STOP GRINNING FROM THE MOMENT YOU GET ON IT.

BEING 5FT 6 I STRUGGLE A BIT WHEN TRYING TO WHEEL IT INTO CAR PARK SPACES, BUT AS SOON AS BOTH FEET ARE UP YOU SOON FORGET.

EVERYTIME I RIDE MY F4 EVRYONE TURNS TO LOOK, I HAVENT SEEN ANOTHER ABOUT WHICH ADDS TO THE APPEAL. PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE AS ARE MV MERCHANDISE BUT THATS THE PRICE PAID FOR OWNING A FERRARI OF THE BIKE WORLD, DEFINANTLY WELL WORTH IT.

I Bought My Mv Agusta Whilst Looking For A Ducati

I bought my MV Agusta whilst looking for a Ducati 748, it was an opportunity to own a machine that I never thought that I could afford (I couldn't but still bought it). The run home identified an uncompromising riding position, which I chose to ignore on the test ride. I realised soon after that metal filings were appearing on the inside of the rear wheel rim, after every ride, which turned out to be a £600 wheel bearing plus some special tools and a 7 week wait for the parts!

It overheated in traffic in hot weather which necessitated the fitment of a manual override switch (cooling fans) for peace of mind, which works fine.

Every rideout takes a while to adjust to the riding position and the lack of turning circle, not to mention the thumb jamming at full lock, and the incredible angle of lean that is achievable.

But ....... find a good quiet open road and and use that engine and gearbox and it all fits together, experience it once and it becomes addictive and you forget all that complaining.

The brakes are fantastic, so much so that you occasionally arrive at roundabouts and corners with the back wheel stepping out. All of which is a new experience for me after 33 years of motorcycling and the associated irresponsible feelings do not rest easy with me.

I do not regret this purchase, but fear that the time has come to change to something more practical and worthy of my mature years.
