“Appalling Customer Service”

I raised an issue with DM Keith and received a fair reply from the owner and was then passed onto Sales Staff who continued to ignore emails and fail to keep promises made in earlier emails. Something is very wrong at this dealership - perhaps due to its scale. They display a total lack of regard for their customers. I asked around and was told by friends that they had similar experiences. Perhaps it is because they are so large but I feel they don't care at all about their customer base. Ironic when you consider they emphasise being a family firm. If I ignored my family like they ignored me I would enjoying many microwave meals for one and save on Christmas presents! A big purchase deserves a bit of respect from the seller - none found here.

“Absolutely delighted by the service”

I have worked in the motor industry for a number of years and when the time for me to buy my own car came I was dreading it! Even though I had been involved in the motor trade, I did not fancy the idea of walking into any car dealership. This is where D.M. Keith comes in. Went in knowing exactly what I wanted, I was not pushed into buying any products and they quickly found a car I could have. They also loaned me a car for 14 days while I waited for mine to arrive. When the car arrived, they were very quick to PDI it and valet it as they knew I needed the car for work. They stay late on a number of occasions to work around my schedule so we could deal with all the paperwork. Extremely professional and straight to the point staff. My car went in today for its first service and I have to say that I'm even more delighted with the company. In an industry filled with "dodgy" characters and companies, D.M. Keith is there to reassure me that there are still good guys in the game. Well done guys, keep up the good work!

“DM Keith Bradford - Ask to see the log book!”

I bought a Skoda Octavia from DM Keith in Bradford in June. To be fair the car is fine but when I purchased it I was told by 2 people that it had 1 owner. Being a main dealer I trusted them. The log book came through a few weeks later and it had 2 owners on it. I contacted DM Keith to question this and they told me that someone would get back to me a day later. No one called and I had to call in a few days later to ask why no one had returned my call. Eventually the sales manager said that there was nothing she could do as there was no written proof on the sales paperwork. I pointed out that it was their paperwork so I suggested I come down to speak with the sales people...she said that she had spoken to them and BOTH of them didn't remember the conversation conveniently...it was only 3 weeks since the sale. She also asked me why I hadn't asked to see the log book and I simply said I trusted the 2 sales people. If I had been told it was a 2 owner car I would have questionned why there were 2 owners on the car. They also couldn't get an Autoglym product done on time despite them having the car for nearly 10 days after agreeing the sale. I booked it in again for the next week and the day before it was due to go in I was phoned by the salesperson to say it couldn't be done as 'new car customers' wanted their cars doing and were basically prioritised over myself. I told them I didn't want this doing now and wanted my money back. At this point they are still refusing to refund my money. I asked finally if I could make a complaint and she said that the complaint would come to her so basically there was no point complaining...not exactly a responsible company is it? If you do buy a car ask to see the log book and I wouldn't get an Autoglym product.

“only use this company if you change cars frequently”

I bought a car from these and at first was treated very well. As the car got older the service I received got worse and I was given less and less priority, despite taking my car to them for servicing and repair. The final straw came when the car developed a fault, I paid D M Keith a small fortune in have this investigated and was told each time it had been fixed and a few weeks later it would come back and I would pay another small fortune and so on. Eventually, the fault caused the engine to die at random intervals, which meant that the car was effectively braking suddenly without warning or brake lights, a major accident waiting happen. Took it back to D M Keith and paid another small fortune. A week later the fault returned. I complained and a manager said to take it back in and they would look at it free of charge. First thing they said when I took it back was that they wanted over £100.00. I was not happy with this at all. After, mistakenly, using D M Keith for over 10 years I have come to the conclusion that D M Keith just regard customers as cash cows and have no regard for them at all. I would avoid using this company for any reason

“Go to Wakefield - this is what I am writing about! ”

To start with - this review is about DM Keith Wakefield , and their SERVICE only. Sales chaps are the usual folk - dont bother me. There is a chap in service called Chris Rushforth. Never had an issue - he has serviced all my cars from my Skoda Felicia to my Mercedes Benz C - Class. Knows how to keep a happy ship and happy customers. Wish everyone was like him, he is a humble chap who works in a honest manner. Dougal and Angus - trust you pat Chris on the back for this!

“I had damage done to my Fabia. I was recommended a...”

I had damage done to my Fabia. I was recommended a firm by Skoda based in Leeds who fix chips, scratches, dents etc. Skoda use the firm themselves so when I was recommended them I thought I was getting a reputable company...how wrong I was!
They have made a total hash of the car and I have been quoted £1,200 to correct the damage!
I have since found this company has gone bust...but they have re registerd the buisness and are now back trading using the same name!

My warranty for the work done is void because the company does not exist as such now.
I had to get Trading Standards and Company House involved in this matter.

Skoda have basically washed their hands of this matter and do not give a dam.
Skoda told me to use them but now they don't want to know ....I was told: "We only recommended them you didn't have to use them! SURELY THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE DOSN'T DESERVE CUSTOMERS?

The attitude towards me is 100% disgusting and one who reads this that is considering buying a Skoda ...DON'T GO TO DM KEITHS !!
