I Had These Pirelli Tyres On My Ford Mondeo. They
I had these Pirelli tyres on my Ford Mondeo. They are the cheapest 'high performance' tyres in my country and they lasted surprisingly long: rears were at 110K kilometers and 6 years old when I replaced them. Fronts lasted 70k. My driving style is calm but tyres see 20 kilometers of action every day when I am going to work.
Dry grip was good, but it gets a little bad after 50k which is normal.
I can't say the same for its wet grip, after 20k kilometers it was gone. To make matters worse, tyres showed no sign of losing grip, until the millisecond they lost control completely.
I was in a road I can go with 90km/h in dry conditions, and in wet it suddenly under steered while driving at ~50 km/h.
One time rears suddenly lost grip (again without any sign) and I drifted at least 25 meters in a FWD car. It was fun and some people around were clapping but that ' s not what I would expect from a tyre.
Similar incidents happened three times. After doing some tests, I noticed after losing grip with P6000s, it ' s a lot harder to recover when compared to Pirelli P6s or Michelin PEs. So I had to reduce my wet speed to 50% of my dry speed to drive safely.
These tyres are very hard, avoid hitting them to anywhere.
The tyres are also uncomfortable, which I don ' t care but some may like to know. Tyres were balanced every 5k kilometers and still they weren ' t perfect after 10 times then I gave up balancing them. My friends find it a little noisy, which I don't find disturbing.
If you are tired of economy or comfort tyres and want some significant improvement on grip, these are for you. They look really good, and they are cheap for a performance tyre.
However if you like pushing your car to its limits, don't even consider them. They are really neither progressive nor reliable... "Heeyy it ' s turning good!! It sticks to the road at 105kph!! Let ' s push the throttle a little..." 105, 5 kph and boom!! You end up in a tree...

My Honda Civic Came With Dunlop Sp Sport300 185/65
My Honda Civic came with Dunlop Sp Sport300 185/65/15 stock and after about 45000 miles, they were worn out! I replaced them with 195/65/15 91H Pirelli P6 and Ive got to say they are fantastic. They provide really crisp handling and cornering dry and wet. They are great tyres, but in my opinion they are a bit pricey.

Different (again) to my previous tyres - quite light - almost feel over inflated - but then suprise when they grip so well.
Once worn in they feel great. Grip is at least as good if not better than my previous tyres - which is an excellent achievement. Not the cheapest tyre - but not the most expensive either.
A safe choice.
After longer use I confirm these are a very safe tyre.
Tyre wear good.
Only concern is the light 'over inflated' feel which also
gives a slightly more bumpy feel at the wheel. Other tyres have 'felt' more secure but these grip really well

My 2003 Saab Came With These Tyres And Nothing Com
My 2003 Saab came with these tyres and nothing compares to the handling you get with these.
I had to replace my tyres after about 2 years (25K miles) and was considering buying other brands that where cheaper in price but my mechanic assured me nothing would compare to these tires in this size.

My Pirelli P6ers Came With My New 2003 Audi A6, As
My Pirelli P6ers came with my new 2003 Audi A6, as part of the sport 17" wheel package.
I have been through and was a victim of both the old recall of Firestone 500s in the 1980's and the Explorer tire recall several years ago. If this makes me an expert in getting stuck with garbage tires then I just hit the jackpot.
These Pirellis are the biggest piece of garbage I have ever experienced.
I have put 20,000 miles on the car. The tires don't show any wear as they never last long enough to wear down! My hatred of Pirelli is justified by the fact that I have had to replace four, that's right four, tires since I got the car. All the replaced tires had sidewall bulges. No tire has gone more than 13,000 miles! The car never went into anything major. Just the usual potholes that any other tire that I have had before could handle with aplomb. Now paranoia has set in and anytime I come into contact with anything bigger than a tar strip (a small tar strip that is), I check all the tires.
Just yesterday, on my way back from Rhode Island to New York I stopped at a rest stop and guess what... front left tire had a bulge. This is despite the fact that I just checked the tires and air pressure right before the trip.
As a matter of fact, I check the air pressure at least every month (prior to the Pirelli's I don't think I ever checked or worried about tire pressure).
I might add that when one of the many bad tires were replaced, the tire store found a tube in it! It wasn't I who put the tube in (after all these are "high performance"),and I honestly feel that it had to happen when the car was in Audi's possession. The writing on the tube was in English so I assume that Audi experienced "Pirelli failure" somewhere in between boat to showroom and did a quick fix at my expense. Audi, of course denies it and refuses to do anything about it.
Quite frankly, if at all possible, I will not buy another Pirelli product. Simply put, I feel that they are overpriced junk. Regarding Audi, I have owned three and I will probably "kiss them goodbye" as well.

Just Had A Set Of These Pirelli P6 Tyres Installed
Just had a set of these Pirelli P6 Tyres installed on my Honda Accord yesterday. Huge improvement in handling and directional stability compared to the Falken tires they replaced, and much crisper handling than the Michelin MXV4's that were supplied OEM. Now waiting for the first winter weather to see how they behave in the white stuff. Stay tuned.
