“Genuine Claim Refused by dishonest Churchill”

Lodged a claim at the beginning of August for damage to our underground sewage tank. Checked policy and covers accidental damage to underground pipes & tanks providing services to & from the home. Specialist drainage assessor visited within a week or so and said the damage has been caused by ground movement and explain that it's the insurance company's job to put you back in a position before the damage occurred and he'd make his report and send it to Churchill. “strange feedback request”

After contacting churchill I'm asked for customer service feedback via text messages. When I send text I'm informed by mobile provider that the call will incur additional charges. Why has a Churchill set up a feedback service which is for their advantage but charges it's customers? I've tried to contact them before with this, but had no reply… Read Full Review

“Oh how I wish I had read this review board before”

I wondered why my claim for flood damage is making me feel like I have to jump through hoops. Now after reading the comments here it seems I am not alone. I started the claim about 5 weeks ago and I still have no fridge, a borrowed bed and am having to make do and mend for a host of other items. It really is unnacceptable. “Claim free loyal customers penalised ”

I've had home insurance with Churchills for 3 years without claim. Despite my loyalty plus having car insurance with them, my renewal schedule was more than double it was last year!! I went on the internet to compare prices and discovered to take out the same exact policy with Churchills but as a new customer it was almost £300 cheaper… Read Full Review

“Beware of automatic renewal!”

My home insurance was due for renewal on 1/2/13. I took it out with a different company to Churchill as I had obtained a better quote. Lo and behold when I returned from holiday I find that Churchill have 'assumed' that I would be staying with them and put in place an automatic charge against my credit card. “Had been with Churchill insurance for many years, was...”

Had been with Churchill insurance for many years, was unfortunate enough to have a water escape claim this May, the claim procuedure did go quite smoothly, but the shock came when the renewal came in this September.....it had nearly doubled in price. Went on the internet, and even with the claim in May, managed to get another policy as good as Churchills for under what Churchills charged me last year (2007)........expensive or what?… Read Full Review
