we like to eat out most night like trying somewhere different this place was a mistake starters were ok main courses tasted of nothing sure there were just microwaved rubbish mushroom strogonoff tasted watery soup sweet and sour chicken cant be described desserts nicker boker glorys since when have there been made with chocolate icecream when we complained told thats what there r made of think the chef need a new recipe book rate this place out of 10 1 out of 10 for the starter just a waste of 38pounds never again

We went to clowns Restaurant on Saturday and wont be going back. I last went there about 3 years ago and numerous times before then and it was excellent. Not any more - after a short wait, out table was ready, but the place was only half full. We sat down near the kitchen area and the table next to us was still covered with the previous guests meals, although they were long gone.
Service ws OK, but still had to wait about 10 mins for a drink. Food has gone downhill although we didn't have to wait long for it. The final point that I need to make is that it's dirty, un-cleaned and has no atmosphere. I even caught the staff putting the ketchup we used back into a big container after we had finished - how disgusting! Shame used to be good

I haven't been to Clown's Restaurant in years but I remember it being totally brilliant. I feel there is no atmosphere there anymore, the staff did not seem very happy and I was disappointed in the food quality. I'm not sure if this restaurant is under new management or something but it has lost its appeal with me. I think the decor is old now and does not seem to have been kept up with repairs... the toilets do not appear very nice. This used to be my favourite restaurant and I went every Saturday to this place with friends and family, it had queues out the door for tables but when we went it was barely half full. We will not be eating there again.

The old Clowns restaurant was of a good quality for a family meal. I can only think there must be a change in management or supplier as the quality of food had fallen. I definitely will not be eating here again.

This restaurant clearly is under new management and with it went the quality. The old Clowns was fantastic. The new Clowns is a different story. I went there for the first time in 2 years and found the tables to be filthy, the glasses caked in grease and the cutlery dirty.
Staff seem friendly enough and when I pointed out the problem with the utensils they provided clean stuff and blamed the dishwasher. Fine but it was so obvious they should have noticed. The menu appears to have changed as well. It is now so confusing as to have you sitting there for ages deciding what you want.
