“Good all round pub”

I've been to The Ship on several occasions. The prices are excellent and the menu extensive. We live about 15 miles away, but wish this pub was closer to home.

“Very good home cooked food”

Had a very enjoyable Xmas lunch. The meal arrived piping hot, we all agreed we would be very happy to eat this as a Xmas day lunch. Plenty of everything. The turkey arrived moist & thick tasty slices. Excellent meal.

The meal was served quickly and was piping hot, it was home cooked and veg fresh and not overcooked, I only paid £3.50 and cannot believe they can produce such a meal for the price McDonald's cost more than this. Portion size was fine, cant complain for the price. What do people expect for £3.50! I think it was great for everyday food.

I visit The Ship at Tiptree quite often. Excellent home cooked food, the Sunday roast is to die for and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and the pub is clean. The conservatory where the restaurant is, is modern and air conditioned. The outside seating is in a small well kept garden. There is a small childrens play area and a heated seating area for smokers.

Had lunch there yesterday, Sunday, for first time. Was very impressed with size of menu. Service and quality of food. Everyone very friendly. food hot, which is unusual for pub food. Service was fast and second to none. Would recommend it highly. Do give it a try.

Tried this The Ship Inn as had heard that it had been refurbished under new management in January. Was impressed with the menu's - the quality of food and the value is great. Friendly pub, felt welcome straight away. Gets busy in the bar so a lively atmosphere.
