OptiQuest V775

I like my Optiquest V775 17 inch monitor a lot. I point to things on my screen often, and the glass holds up much better than the thin screens.

I purchased the OptiQuest V775 monitor in August '98, and was thoroughly satisfied until....the unit spoiled. The local customer support here in Indonesia provides nothing but rubbish. The monitor has been there for more than a month, and they cannot tell me when the unit will be done. Although I have no other option, they told me that if I could not wait, then I better take the unit back. It was like saying: "checkmate! you are now completely helpless, and We Are the ONLY Savior!". Then I addressed my complaint to ViewSonic HQ in the U.S. (OptiQuest monitors are made by Viewsonic), but up to this moment (more than a week), no reply at all. I guess the company is not customer-oriented, and I recommend people to check the local dealer before buying any ViewSonic or OptiQuest monitors. Sure, they produce good monitors, but when the unit is spoiled, then it is like buying disposable-but-expensive monitor. Heartily NOT recommended.
