I had a couple of lessons at Lanjeth and would never step foot back on the place. The owners are very strict and make out they know what they are doing but I was just shoved up on a horse and led around whilst the lady talked the whole time. A complete waste of my time and money. They seemed to treat everyone like they are children and talk down to everyone.

About time the Owners of this place retired. They do not teach the children much and by all accounts they are not the nicest of people to deal with. I rode there for a while but have learnt much more since leaving. They are patronising and do not think you can do anything for yourself. I would avoid this place at all costs.

I took my son for a private lesson, which was only his second in two years. He is only five. I had to lead the horse myself which i thought was wrong. My son got shouted at and spoken to in a very patronising manner. The lady spoke to me like i was a child myself. Horseriding should be fun. Lovely stables but poor owners. I am now taking him somewhere child friendly.

Lanjeth Riding School is absolutely terrible. My daughter rode there for a year and learned nothing. The children are taught in an out dated way and do not progress. I moved her to another school and within weeks she was cantering and learning fast. The owners of this place need to retire!!!
On the positive side their health and safety was fantastic but this is mainly because they didnt allow the children to do much.

I went to landjeth for 2 years. We never got taught how to canter or jump. I felt as if i was doing the same thing every week. They have nice horses but i think they need some smaller ones as most of them are over 15 hh, which isn't great if you have a beginner child at the age of 5 or 6. There hacks were very dull as you just went around the fields. I never really progressed that much.I also felt that i just came there to ride, and wasn't taught how to tack up or groom which was a disappointment. I ended up leaving Landjeth. And progressed even more at another riding stables.

Cant think of anything. Indoor school and the little pony gillie. I know they specialise in dressarge but they could at least teach jumping and do some more canter work. The hacks were boring as all you did was walk round a few fields and go up the lane then turn back down again

well i went there for 5 years and we never even spoke of the word canter, we never really got taught how to tack up or untack
there was a pony club day on thurday or tuesday i cant remember well when we would just clean the tack
most of the time it was trot work
i gave up and now i ride at boskell riding center.

I disagree with this review because... thats aload of rubbish! and anyway it says on the card that they dont do hacks and they specialise in dressage!
