We were at the matinee today at the Hippodrome Birmingham. The performance was amazing. Lyn Paul was stunning as Mrs Johnston. We have seen Blood Brothers 20 times and Lyn Paul is the best Mrs Johnston we have seen. The emotion she portrays when she sings is astounding. The whole cast where fantastic. As usual I was in floods of tears from the moment Micky goes to prison. An absolutely fantastic performance. Well done to the whole cast.

Seeing Blood Brothers was help me with my silver arts award. The whole performance was amazing- particularly the ‘Wish was our Sammy’ scene because the actor playing Mickey created a lot of humour through his movement, whilst emphasizing certain words which created a very humour filled section. It was executed brilliantly and ill admit that not crying at the end is impossible! certainly see this in the future, and bet that crying at the ending will happen again. It is a must see- BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW!!!

Blood Brothers is the by far the best and most moving performance I have ever seen! I've been to see it two times already as I am doing it for my GCSE English Literature and wanted to improve my knowledge by going to see it. I honestly didn't expect it to be that good but it proved me wrong- it was absolutely fantastic! I could watch it a million times and still be moved by it. The range of characters and scenes is excellent, I love the fact that you catch a glimpse of the end at the start of the play! Willy Russell is so incredibly talented to have written something this excellent that adopts both humour and sadness. Russell has nailed it, I would definitely recommend to anyone that they see it, you may not like musicals- I don't but this is different, the variety of scenes makes one thing that it is not just a musical but also a play! Excellent, going to see it again in the near future! 'BEST PLAY EVER, WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!'

Blood Brothers is a classic. There, I said it. The storyline is imaginative and well executed (it's spilt well in terms of the age gap in the story). You feel an instant warmth and empathy towards the characters and has quality well written music, laughs and emotion in equal high qaulity measure. To those commenting on the swearing showing a lack of imagination in script writing...I wonder if you have ever visited the area in question. For me it represented an authenticity. Yes a times it was gratuatous...but then that is what kids do. Swear for affect and reaction. I found it rather refreshing how an adult character is used to play the child. The use of the narrator is spot on and the socio economic under current that flows through the story to the end is a poignant reminder of how two very similar paths can end up skewed into almost total opposites due to a class system that almost designs itself for the less fortunate to fail. Cracking show, seen it no less than 8 times now. Keep up the good work.

This was one of the best musicals I have ever experienced and what an experience! The story was so typical of the people of the time and the mother of the family was superb, good strong voice and character portrail excellent. Micky, the son, was another excellent character played so well, especially the act after getting out of jail. Such an emotional storyline but with lots of humour and fun to make the whole performance a joy to watch. The music and songs were very good and the appearance and singing of Marty Pello throughout the acts was a delight. Tears of laughter and sadness throughout makes this a Musical not to be missed!

I heard Blood Brothers is coming to an end after 24 years! I've never seen it yet friends who have say it's really good. I treated myself on Thursday 8 Nov 2012 and traveled from Liverpool to the Phoenix Theatre in the west end to see it, and it was well worth it! The story was very good and the actors did it justice. Many times I had tears in my eyes. During the quiet emotional moments, even the majority of the audience, who seemed to be English Lit students, were completely silent. If you haven't seen this and would like a good show to see, you have to catch it before it ends. Unlike many shows where each song is followed by applause, this runs almost all the way through without that, with only a couple of exceptions were applause comes naturally - as does laughter. This is a great show and very well performed by the cast.

Such a great musical.Maureen Nolan as Mrs Johnstone was brilliant (All the Nolan sisters do a brilliant Mrs J ). Martin Pellow was excellent as the narrator and very good supporting cast. Opera House,Manchester is the ideal size to get the best from this moving story. Enjoyed it at the Empire,Liverpool but this was better. Great night out

Well, well, well... from the thrushes of Romulus & Remus, the West End has brought to us a thrilling tale of twins unceremoniously separated at birth, catapulted into classes apart to grow up unaware of their fraternal bond. Comical satire throughout, the characters poetically evolve into adulthood facing life's challenges adjacent to a superfluous attention to the struggles of northern British life. Remarkable individual performances I was honoured to bestow, this theatrical magnificence in a league to Marilyn Monroe.

I thought Blood Brothers was excellent. It was my 40th birthday and when we arrived at the theatre and saw the big poster of Marti Pellow I was so excited, having not realised that he or anyone particularly famous was in it so I felt like it was an extra birthday bonus! The show was brilliant. Very moving in places and funny in places. The acting and singing were superb from all the cast - especially the mother and the two brothers.

Me and my cousin watched this Musical for the first time last night and we were absolutely blown away! It is an emotional rollercoaster of laughter and tears. For us in particular Stephen Palfreman and Amy robbins were sensationa, especially Amy who spoke to us after the show and was happy to pose for pictures and sign our programmes! Overall a 10/10 experience. Greatly recommended.

My husband and I have seen Blood Brothers three times! but we think Amy Robbins has got to be the best Mrs Johnson EVER! her voice is amazing and the power of emotion in her acting reduced us to tears. Blood Brothers has got to be the most amazing musical we have ever been to...you've GOT to see it!

This is probably my seventh or eughth viewing, although the story never changes each production is uniquely different due to the usual suberb casting of th ensemble. Just seen it this pm at the Charter Theartre Preston. Although the theatre and stage small in comparission to most i.ve seen which meant that some times you felt the stage wasa little crammed, but in other respects especially the final scene was probably the most atmospheric and moving i've every seen. The whole cast suberb, Niki Evans fantastic, understudy who played Mickey outstanding. Must see ,then again and again and again. Probably the only show that gets a standing ovation every performance.

Ashamed to admit i knew little about this show before seeing and not ashamed to admit i sobbed at the end, it should be compulsary to attend this outstanding show. Full marks to the entire cast, i dont want to single out anyone but if forced Mickey is superb.

I agree that it was good, in particular the 'Wish I was our Sammy' section- even after seeing it twice that section still has me in fits of laughter. I love going to the theatre and this musical is one of the best that I've seen- accept the Jersey Boys, watch the Jersey Boys!
