Black Mirror

Black Mirror is a first rate point and click adventure game. One of the first things you will become aware of is the dire voice acting. The next thing you will become aware of is that this does not spoil enjoyment of the game one little bit ! The scenes are lavish, with many fine details. The sound effects are great - with nice attention to detail like ticking clocks in the mansion, and rain pattering on the roof inside buildings. Black Mirror is really atmospheric and best played late at night with the lighting low (though on an lcd screen so as not to damage your eyesight!) The only downside to this entire game is the fact that several of the puzzles have no in-game clue whatsoever. The solar system puzzle is the worst. I don't think I'm giving anything away by saying it's virtually impossible to solve without a walkthrough - being that there are any number of different representations of planet colours depending on which source you look at ! All in all though a satisfying adventure with a sad ending. Was hard to know how they could make a sequel when I finished this game, but I'm very pleased to here that one IS being made !
