My ASDA pass has finally expired, and thank God. Minimum delivery is £25 for home shopping, however if you own a delivery pass, you have to spend more than £25. Sometimes I only wanted a top up shop, so I would have to go Iceland instead. In general I like ASDA, and have been a customer for years, and will continue, but I won't be buying another pass, because all though i may have saved on delivery charges - I had to purchase way more than the minimum order, just to benefit from low cost delivery - doesn't make financial sense.

I've done online grocery shopping with ASDA for a few years and always been happy, even when I've not received an item I've always had a refund straight away. Not this time! After not receiving an item recently I tried to request the refund online but wasn't given the option. Spoke to a lovely lady at the contact centre who was going to contact the store to say I've an item missing and arrange a refund. This was on 15 October. I'm still waiting for either! Phoned the contact centre today and the lady I spoke to processed the refund straight away. Why couldn't they have done this is the first place? I'd love a response from ASDA but they make it difficult to complain!

No wonder lidl and aldi are taking over asdas customers...the smaller stores are of no use at all...the bigger stores don't fair any better...went in to bilton hull for a decorated cake...spent 20-30 mins mastering the machine to print my cake picture to be then told by the bakery assistant"sorry I'm off shift"...well if she was off shift why was she in the bakery...that's commitment to the customer right there ...lidl and aldi for my shopping in future

Had quite a few home deliveries from Asda. They have never been late or missed. If they cannot supply you with what you ordered they provide you with substitute food. The food could be cheaper but I suppose there are more expensive places. Brilliant range of food and plenty of choice. Only a small delivery charge. Overall fairly happy with Asda.

I used online ordering/click and collect for the first time to order my groceries. I was not sure of the procedure so I asked at the customer service desk. Online you were directed to the click and collect area within the store but both customer service and click and collect assistant said not to do this but only to use the drive thru click and collect station. The customer service assistant did not really know very much about the process as she said she had never used it. The click and collect assistant said that the machine would not work with the barcode picture I had printed out. When I arrived at the drive thru area we pressed the screen and scanned the code but nothing happened. I waited 5 minutes but no-one came to my car. I pressed the help button but a spoken message said that my call could not be answered at present. I then got out of my car and shouted through some fencing where some men were loading Asda delivery vans. One man ran iside to get me help. After another 10 minutes a lady assistant appeared and asked my order number as she said the scanning method did not work. She then disappeared and after a further 10 minutes she appeared with my order in about six different containers. Next proceeded to ask me whether or not I wanted the substitutes. Three items were substituted. All in all I could have just done the shopping myself in the store and been back home. I do not think the assistant realised that people shop this way because they want to save time. There was one error in the order where I had not been charged the offer price on an item but the full price. However that is extremely common in Asda stores anyway and I often have to go to the customer services on checking my receipt. I will try it all again next week and give them one more chance but if the process is not quicker then it is not worth the online search time.

As a loyal customer generated by the wonderful staff at my local store I had no concerns about using the new "Click and Collect" service. Such a disaster and such an unprofessional service. Despite my numerous telephone calls to the South African call centre and promises to investigate my problem, I was fobbed off every time they deigned to answer my call, They promised to call back each time and did not.I had to go to my local store and the picture changed. They were very helpful immediately and sorted the issue straight away. I cannot believe that Asda wish their company to be thought of in this way.....unprofessional;uncaring; unhelpful.Because this is the view held by many people according to the review sites. I strongly feel the attitudes of the staff in South Africa needs to be addressed urgently. The supermarket war has not gone away yet!

It has taken me 2 weeks to have an issue resolved! I had bleach in my on line shopping delivery that had leaked and gone over my jeans. I have made countless phone calls and been promised a call back each time.... None!! Finally got it resolved today refund of jeans £29.99 didn't say the were expensive wasn't looking to make money could of said the were some designer make but they are just h&m! Not even an apology at the end the phone call! No good will gesture of flowers and wine, shopping voucher! I can safely say I will not be shopping on line with asda again. Not due to the products but I cannot cope with the chance that I would have to deal with the customer service team again!

I used to shop at Asda because it was nearby and Tesco was getting too expensive and lacking a choice of goods(unless you wanted tesco brand). I was treated with contempt 3 times by staff who could not be bothered to serve me. Each time it was because they were too busy discussing last night and it`s enjoyment. I decoded to swop to Morrisons.(Huddersfield) What a wise decision. More choice, happy staff, checkouts open, fresh produce and great choice. My biggest concern is the claim by Asda to be 10% cheaper. I have monitored my purchases for the last 4 WEEKS against Asda prices on My Supermarket.com. SURPRISE... Morrisons was CHEAPER by £7/£8 on a £75/£80 shop every week.I would agree that the shopping did include a few special offers like Coke 3 for £3 but Asda had the same offer. I am struggling to reconcile the Asda claim of being 10% cheaper... it is not true in my case. Morrisons is cheaper and also has better quality.

Ordering on the monday for a thursday delivery the goods come on time. Checking my receipt later I realise that they have overcharged me by £35. After getting through to the customer service I was told that there had been a price increase,How can they do that to you!!!!!If someone had paid through there debit card and this had made them go overdraw they would of been charged. Now they are going to give me a refund so check your bills carefully.

Do not bother trying to save £5 when you spend £40 at Asda ....it's a rip off!

I have shopped at Asda for over 20yrs and was delighted when a new store opened in Hounslow. However, customer service is quite poor, in regards to the Home delivery service. This is what Asda do and it,s bad practice!!!! THEY TAKE YOUR ONLINE ORDER AND DETAILS, YO PAY FOR YOUR SHOPPING AND THEN THEY TAKE TWO MORE PAYMENTS ON TOP OF THAT. THEREFORE IN MY CASE MY SHOPPIN G CAME TO 51,11P HOWEVER, I PAYED 161.11P FOR MY SHOPPING AND HAVE TO WAIT AGAIN FOR THEM TO PUT THE MONEY BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT. MY MESSAGE IS BE CAREFUL, BUT LIVING HERE WE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE TO HAVE OTHER SUPERMARKETS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

although i bought this product from the web site 'asda direct' over the phone, i am a bit niggled by the service. i phoned to ask info about this item to be told they dont know, they then gave me another number to ring. this number turned out to be a department that knows nothing either, and so refered me back with the same number originally used. this next sales person offered for someone to phone me back within 48 hrs. 3 days later still no reply! with it being 'asda' i hope it will turn out to law abiding, so i phoned and ordered it anyway with every intention of returning it if this ipod is out of date. i just hope it arrives as planned and is an up-to-date version of the ipod nano that i want. good luck.

Asda has an online store where you can buy very cheap holidays. I found their outlay rather easy to use and best of all was that they had the cheapest offer.
One thing I did not enjoy that much was the "proof of accommodation". While this standard "proof of accommodation" will work with most people , I needed to obtain a visa to go to Paris and sadly this proof was lacking in many vital details. Long story short is that I had to speak directly to the hotel themselves.
However besides this slight hiccup, I found Asda to be really hassle free! I'd recommend them to anybody looking for cheap holiday deals.

My local asda is quite well laid-out so it's easy to find most items, with one or two exceptions. Although asda have a reputation for good prices, most of them seem the same as all the other supermarkets. Their own brand products are cheap but this can come with a downside, like their own-brand sausages which are only 10% pork!
The staff seem polite and friendly, although it does vary depending on who you get. They do seem to run out of items at busy times, and another thing is that I was definitely not impressed with their cafe. Although the food is cheap and of acceptable quality, I was told by staff at about midday that a number of items (such as a hot pie) on the menu were not available before one or two o'clock, which doesn't seem to make sense to me - surely lunch time creates a demand for these items?

I moved into my own place for the first time about 3 months ago.
Money has always been a bit tight and so Asda is the perfect place for me to do my weekly shop.
There are so many inexpensive and essential (for me!) things that i buy using the Asda Smartprice products.
My recent shopping list of three large onions, chedder cheese, peanut butter, warburtons white sliced bread, a tin or baked beans and a tin of chopped tomatoes, tomato ketchup, ryveta crackers, a box of twinings tea, frozen chips, chicken nuggets, kitchen foil, bin liners, toilet roll, kitchen roll and some shampoo came to only £8.94!!!
Bargain!
The kiosk also sells cigs cheaper then anywhere else i know!

I buy all my expensive face creams, shampoo, makeup and similar products at Asda. They have a lot of the expensive brands and most of the time they're much cheaper than Boots. My day cream is only half the price at Asda when it's on special offer, which seems to be every other week.
Also, I love to cook Chinese and Indian food and used to have to go quite far to get to a decent Asian supermarket. Now I can buy virtually all the ingredients I need at Asda and often in much smaller quantities as Asda caters for smaller households than the Asian supermarkets.
Asda is a great place to go to for kitchen cupboard staples, but I go to my local butcher for meat (not much more expensive but many times as tasty) and Waitrose for my fruit and veg.

Upon my last visit to ASDA in Coventry I was disappointed to see that the parent and child car park spaces were being used up by people that did not need them. I have two young children and normally find these spaces useful. However, when I eventually found a space (which was at the far end of the car park, as the store was obviously busy) I walked all the way to the trolley bays at the front of the store to find that there were no trolleys with child seats left. I then walked around the car park for at least 5 minutes with my two children (my youngest being carried in a car seat) looking for a suitable trolley. During this time I came across a couple of car park attendants who were just standing chatting. I asked them why they were not doing their job, and where I could find a suitable trolley, to which they simply replied "there was nothing to do, and that they didn't know, maybe they were all being used". Annoyed, I left the staff chatting and proceeded to walk back to my car, at which point I found a suitable trolley which had just been left by its previous user in the middle of the car park. I have always done my shopping at this store, and so despite my now bad mood I completed my shopping. I have since found that the local Tesco store colleagues are far more helpful to parents with young children.
I enjoy the fresh cream cakes produced at the in-store bakery. The quality is excellent and they are reasonably priced. The staff are usually very helpful and friendly, and I buy at least one item from there every time I do a shop. I was disappointed to learn recently that the cream counter is being removed from the store, and so I will no longer be able to buy fresh cakes. I recommend that customers try the cakes from the counter and support the colleagues, and hopefully ASDA will then think twice about taking such a step.
