Have had my Yamaha YHR667D horn since 2002. Had to have the valves worked on twice as first, they were very slow and second, they would totally freeze if horn not played every day. I never went a whole week without playing. The horn is very thin and would dent with the smallest bump. I had an Olds single horn from 1950's and the Yamaha had more dents than the Olds horn. I had a detached bell and got it stuck. The repairman actually twisted the whole horn trying to remove it and flattened the bottom part of the horn. He reshaped it back to the best version of "round" he could get but the finish is now all scratched and the laquer it now damaged with dents still in the horn at the braces. I am now looking for a new horn with a little more solid construction.

When I blow hard into this horn, the sound spreads and it doesn't hold a good core. The horn feels good to play, but the sound it produces is not good quality.

The Yahama 667V is a great Horn. Very nice sound. Good mouthpiece, sturdy case.
