My main reason for buying the Sagem MYX-6 was for work. I use a camera a lot for this. I was very impressed with the quality of the pictures it would take most of all in poor light conditions. The 3 other guys I work with were so impressed too they all brought one. So now the biggest plus of all is we can exchange all sort of info via the infa red. If I have to take on someone else's work they can just send me all the info to my phone IE contact No photo's and appointment times from the organiser. I have been using mobile phone since they were like a concrete brick and this is buy far the best and most useful.
The best fun thing about this phone is the sound recorder enabling you to have some real silly ringtones like 'SHUT THE F*@# UP' which I recorded on to work mates phone which caused him great embarrassment but he got me back by getting the secretary to record 'I LOVE YOU AND I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABYS' which didn't go down to well with the wife and was sometime till she saw the funny side.
Battery life is very good on full eco mode but if you have it set on full power and have a long delay on the screen light so you can admire your screen savers (of which you can use animated gifs of net uploaded via irda) due to large screen battery life is a lot shorter. Oh ye and due to screen size and brightness it makes a very good torch too.
As for freezing it has done this twice in the first couple of months I owned it but it hasn't done it now for nearly 12 months so maybe as they get older they get better (bit like me LOL).
So to conclude this phone is dead easy to use, lots of fun and so damm useful I would be lost without it and my work mates ditto that.

I picked the Sagem MYX-6 because it was a nice cheap and good camera phone but when I got it, it had a lot of way better stuff on it that is as good as like a £250 phone.
It's totally one of the best phones ever.

I first got my Sagem MYX- 6 mobile phone because it was a cheap camera phone but i realised how much you got for your money. it has an amazing amount of features and is very easy to use. i have had problems with orange so i recommend getting vodafones own version of the myx6 which has a different cover and java. There is also the myx7 which can do video which may be worth waiting for

What a mobile phone. The Sagem MYX- 6 mobile phone has to be the bargain of the century. Far better than the nokia 7250i and sharp gx10i as friends have these and compare none at all to this beauty. Camera quality is as good as my digi cam i have which i paid 30 quid for and is fantastic quality. zoom is brilliant captures everythin you want to see. even in bad light the camera adjusts to this! i really wanted a camera phone and for £99.99 this was amazingly good value. has been described as a "budget" phone but my word its no. yes its cheap, but the phone as a whole is amazing. i love the ability to record your own tones. sound on the whole is loud. especially when you have a foghorn battering your ears! also, loudspeaker is very very useful. What an amazing phone

I bought the Sagem MYX- 6 at the same time as my friend bought another phone at hte same price, everthing about my sagem is better although he doesen't want to admit it. Ok his phone supports java but only certain games and there isn't enough space for many! For £100 it couldn't be much better. Recommend to all even people who can afford £300 phones. Buy it you wont be disappointed!

Well i am a sagem mobile phone engineer. i have read a lot of these problems that people are having and have came to the conclusion that you have overloaded your phone. "overloading" is a term that we use which basicly means that you have asked your phone to do too many things at once eg. (excessively pushing buttons). Also part of the problem is keeping too many messages, ringtones etc. if you delete a lot of your media you will find that your phone works perfectly. If you have anymore queries please e-mail me at. Have just received my MYX-6 and very pleased with it overall, however, I can't turn off the vibrate alert! I have of course, changed settings to 'no vibrate' and put the phone on silent but the phone still vibrates every time message received. I want an entirely silent phone when in meetings etc. Any ideas anyone???

Hi All
<br>
<br>got this from some german web sit (im sure google can find it)"TelMemPlus_EN.ZIP" great for removing operator logos backing up phonebooks and loads more
<br>
<br>also got "Sagem My Picks and sounds PAS_7_05.exe" from www.planetsagem.com which easily sends and receves pictures, ringtones & animations,
<br>
<br>but not the inbuilt ringtones "Evil_Laugh", "Boat_Horn" etc if anyone knows of software that will do this please let us all know as i think they are 2 of the best ringtones I've heard

On the first question here (downloading pics you take with your phone to your pc), my solution was to buy an Infra-Red receiver which you plug in the USB socket of your pc (comes with CD rom for the software bit). Very easy to use, about £15-29 (in London).
<br>
<br>Second issue with the MyX-6: overloading. Although 'I' am very happy with my phone (been using it since August '03), I've noticed that if there are too many photos, etc. the menu navigation gets slow and the phone even 'freezes' (like Windows does when a pc crashes).
<br>
<br>Two problems I still haven't found a solution for:
<br>- how do I send a sms to several persons (other thand save the txt than sending it to every one of the recipients)?
<br>
<br>- how do I save on my pc my phonebook? (got a 400 names phonebook and would hate to lose all my numbers if the phone gets stolen or lost...)
<br>
<br>Thanks

The comment about overloading the phone is not true. I've changed the phone 4 times. I'm now on my 5th Sagem MYX-6. They were all brand new. I haven't had a chance to overload them. They all had problems. The second one was a real cuckoo. It was full of problems. I've asked Orange to send me my money back but they refuse. They'll only keep replacing the phone until I get one that works properly. Needless to say, by now I absolutely hate this phone.

I got this phone after reading some reviews on this site and i was expecting good things and it proved to deliver. all aspects of the Sagem My-X6 are good and at only £99.99 it does all that the more expensive phones do and has a better quality camera than most of the other camera Phones out there. If you compare it to other phones in this price range it has got by far the best camera, best colour and with cool downloadable games for only £1.50 is easily better than such phones as the Siemens MC-60
if you are looking for good easy to use phone for a reasonable price i would suggest this phone everytime.

I just got this Sagem MYX- 6 mobile phone 2day and i think it's great! i would recommend this to anyone. The camera has a brilliant image and can zoom 4 times. After u take your photo u can add little pictures like crowns and stars also u can add frames. U can make anyone of your photos your wallpaper.The only bad points are that there is no java and u can't download games from vodafone live. Also the buttons are a bit small so fast texters fingers might slip.

i have had this Sagem MYX- 6 phone since september and it great what can i say i had a sony j7 and this knocks the stuffing out to of it. i dont have to charge the phone well that what it feels like anyway i can make the phone last for about 18 days and that with all the power saving stuff and with about 2 hours of conversation which is wow ohh and you must get the data cable for this item you can then save the pics as high qualty and them move them too your computer and they are high qualty ok the bad things because ive listed all the good thing above hmm let me think hmmm buttons could be too small but no problem here hmm ive cracked the case twice but i do treat stuff like its indestrucable but no biggy a new case is £10 ive found in the market hmm trying to think of any thing else, no java but im not to fussed about that they games you can download i htink are better than the java games and there is a romour that by the end of the year there could be a firmware update to make the phone surport java if not no biggy you still get 3d first person shooters on it ohh an i picked the phone up for £130 on orange PAYG whcih is damn cheap ohh and got £15 call credit with it too so talk about a bargin

This is a great phone to buy, I wanted a camera phone really bad with wap and polyphonic ringtones. This phone matched the thing i wanted and it was a reasonable price so i think this phone is a great deal and anyone wanting to get a good phone at a small price get this one i got it for 149.99 on the argos website its great its practical and i recommend it!!!

I have had this Sagem MYX- 6 mobile phone for almost a week now and just love it! The screen is of very good size and resolution and with 65000 colours is very good quality. The camera takes fanatstic photos and the zoom is something that is not on a lot of integrated cam phones but should be! The memory is also amazing. 2.3mb is easily enough for over 100 photos and loads of recordings or polyphonics. There is also a separate memory for SMS's where it holds 100, this i found particularly useful! The general menus are a doddle to use and although the buttons are pretty small compared to using chunky nokia ones for 2 years, you get used to them quite quickly. The only entertainment flaw is that it really only supports the In-Fusio games format which does have good games to offer, just not a lot of them! However i have downloaded a couple and am very pleased with them. I got this phone on PAYG on Orange for £99.99! I thought there was a catch but there really wasn't. For this money there is nothing else to compete with it!

I bought the Sagem MYX- 6 thinking it wouldn't be very good as the price of it was £120! But this phone is easily as good as the gx10 and the gd87 and the camera is much better than the both of them! The photos are very clear even when it is zoomed right in! I currently have 86 photos in my phone and the memory isnt even half full, and i have 78 pictures which i have downloaded from the free wap so there is a good memory aswell. You can even record your own ringtones from the recorder built in and there is also a laud speaker on there so you can listen to your phonecalls without even holding the phone! all in all a brilliant phone and for anyone looking for a fun phone with an excellent camera at a decent price id recommend it to anyone.

I bought the Sagem MYX- 6 mobile phone for £80 in unused condition and being used to nokias i was sceptical of bying a sagem but i neednt have worried its as easy as nokias the cam is good (for a phone ) screen is second to none sounds are fun i would recommend this phone to anyone

The Sagem MY X 6 mobile phone is a very good phone which is designed to compete with the top of the range mobiles on the market, it looks minly like a Sony T610 but has a higher resoloution screen making it a very succesful phone with still an affordible price, when I 1st got the phone it took me about 5 minutes to get used to using and I used to have a Nokia which is impressive on a user friendly scale. The only thing I would reely change is the buttons, because they are too small and your fingers slip. But overall its a great phone.

You can adjust the time the backlight stays on for, go to settings - others - energy saving - backlight. You can have it stay on for up to 30 seconds, however on the main standby screen it does go off after about five or six seconds. Top phone!
<br>
<br>PS- Turn off the energy saving too so you don't get that annoying screen telling you to press the green button

This phone is brilliant. To be honest, I had never heard of Sagem so when I received this phone it was a nice suprise. The photos that are taken are clear and large and you get good pictures even when you're on a night out! The quality of photos is far superior to any others that I have seen which are often small and very grainy.
The menu options are condensed and straightfoward and you don't need to read the instruction manual; it's all self explanatory. The ring tones are loud and clear and the numbers on the screen are large and battery lasts for ages.
