No More Toffees
The quality of this product has been in steady decline for a number of years. The mints are now too acidic. The size of each sweet has been reduced drastically, but the price has been held the same. Finally as a last straw the mint toffees have been replaced by some disgusting 'mint chews'. They proudly call it a 'new mix'. It's a 'new mix' I will not be buying any longer. They take us for fools.

I Too Was Quite Surprised At The Imbalance Of The
I too was quite surprised at the imbalance of the four types of mint in my very first packet - only two Mint Toffees but thirteen Everton Mints. I recorded the contents of fourteen packets, produced a chart worked out the averages and sent it to Cadburys. Average packet contents - 5 Mint Toffees, 5 Murray Mints, 9 Murray Butter Mints and 10 Everton Mints. I asked how the proportion of each sweet in a packet is determined and why is it not possible to buy a packet of Mint Toffees?

I too agree with your findings and would love to be able to buy just the mint toffees. I cannot understand why they do not sell them seperately.

I cant believe I have found some like minded people. I am so upset, the only reason I buy those mint favourites is to get the treat of the mint toffee. My last packet I bought before getting on a 3 hour train journey..........NO TOFFEES at all. I felt cheated!!!

Agree with 2 previous posters. I keep buying bags of the mint favourites JUST for the mint toffees. Once there was only ONE mint toffee in the whole bag. I feel this seems like false advertising since picture on the packet gives the impression there are more mint toffees than any of the others since there are 2 pics of the mint toffees and only one of the others.I too am going to write to them. I want a bag of mint toffees in compensation!

Great Mint toffees - why don't Bassett's sell them separately?
My average per bag is 4 toffees but I recently bought a bag with only TWO!.
Also, in almost every bag the humbugs far exceed any other selection, with the Murray Mints running a close second. Shame because the Butter Mint (although small in size) is another favourite.

If You Have A Bad Throat Or Blocked Nost, Then Bas
If you have a bad throat or blocked nost, then Bassetts Mint Favourites are far better than any so called sore throat sweet and not quite as sugary, they do not set my teeth on edge.

Why Don't Bassetts Sell Bags Of Just Mint Toffees
Why don't Bassetts sell bags of just mint toffees as well as their Mint Favourites? Generally you only get 2 or 3 mint toffees in a bag of Bassetts Mint Favourites!
I couldn't agree more. That's the only reason I buy them. I bought a bag this morning in fact, and it's such a waste of money, as I don't like the others nearly as much!
