Poor service is not the word. Stay away from Laptops direct. I ordered a laptop that it has taken me a long time to save for and was excited to receive it. However it arrived damaged not badly but I wanted a shiny new computer I had waited so long for. I reported it within 1 hour of delivery I was offered £20 to keep it which I declined and said I wanted it replaced. “Faulty product shipped then awful customer service”

Laptops Direct are quick to take your money but should you need customer service then at that point you will get the run around, excuses, and the kitchen sink in order to not give you a refund. They delivered a defective computer i.e. stone cold dead. It was returned (to their supplier - they don't actually have ANY computers in stock, they simply pass the order on to any number of 3rd party suppliers) and accepted as being faulty, yet it took over a month to get my money back. “Wrong product sent .... then BAD customer service”

Ordered a Laptop, got sent a computer mouse - contacted customer service who said they would TRY to call me back within 2 days! ... and until they had completed their investigation I would not get a refund. Had nothing but trouble from the start. If you want to speak to someone regarding sales then you will get through straight away, customer services however is about 10minutes. Here is a timeline of what happened - 1.24th September - Received a damaged laptop after spending over £449 of hard earned money. I bought a £500 PC from Laptops Direct and received a cheaper, inferior, lower spec model. A week later they admit they had made a "mistake" on their website and the model I paid for does not exist! Despite their admittance of a mess up of epic proportions, a week later I still have not received a refund nor have they arranged for the return of the computer I didn't order. Ordered a Swan CCTV system a week ago. Delivery should have been within 7 days. I called up 7 days later and they have advised me the item had been discontinued! “Laptops Direct AVOID!!!”

I received my 14" HP laptop and the first thing I noticed when unpacking it and starting it up for the first time, many of the icons on the Windows 10 menu were greyed out. This of course means that you are unable to use these icons to start and service supported by Windows 10.
