Order of laptop and memory split into two packages. Memory package goes missing on voyage. Contact Customer Support - 'we will trace with the courier, update in 3-5 days' 7 days later, contact customer support, except the automated email system refuses to recognize the email as an ongoing complaint, and it goes through all the 'answer within 24 hours' malarkey first. Poor service is not the word. Stay away from Laptops direct. I ordered a laptop that it has taken me a long time to save for and was excited to receive it. However it arrived damaged not badly but I wanted a shiny new computer I had waited so long for. I reported it within 1 hour of delivery I was offered £20 to keep it which I declined and said I wanted it replaced. “Faulty product shipped then awful customer service”

Laptops Direct are quick to take your money but should you need customer service then at that point you will get the run around, excuses, and the kitchen sink in order to not give you a refund. They delivered a defective computer i.e. stone cold dead. It was returned (to their supplier - they don't actually have ANY computers in stock, they simply pass the order on to any number of 3rd party suppliers) and accepted as being faulty, yet it took over a month to get my money back. “Wrong product sent .... then BAD customer service”

Ordered a Laptop, got sent a computer mouse - contacted customer service who said they would TRY to call me back within 2 days! ... and until they had completed their investigation I would not get a refund. Had nothing but trouble from the start. If you want to speak to someone regarding sales then you will get through straight away, customer services however is about 10minutes. I bought a £500 PC from Laptops Direct and received a cheaper, inferior, lower spec model. A week later they admit they had made a "mistake" on their website and the model I paid for does not exist! I received my 14" HP laptop and the first thing I noticed when unpacking it and starting it up for the first time, many of the icons on the Windows 10 menu were greyed out. This of course means that you are unable to use these icons to start and service supported by Windows 10. “Refurbished or Not?”

I ordered an A2 refurbished HP Envy with SSD. There are no serviceable parts in these devices so they need to: 1. Clean; 2. Function check and repair if necessary, 3. Reset the operating system. Laptops direct failed on 2 of 3. The laptop was grubby, didn't charge correctly had a faulty battery and on return and examination, was told it had a motherboard fault and wouldn't be returned. I bought a laptop which ended up being faulty within 3 months. They attempted to blame me and charge me £60 for repairs. To add insult to injury I bought the extended warrenty a princely sum and it is now clear it is not worth the paper it's written on. Abysmal customer service with them blaming their customers. I tried to return a laptop having read "no quibble returns" only to find the no quibble was going to cost me 10% plus up to £20 postage as I had ordered it under a company name and they would have to open it to make sure it was OK even though it was still sealed!!!
