We Had Its Bigger 32 Inch Brother Before And That
We had its bigger 32 inch brother before and that was an outstanding television - this was a close second place runner!
The Panasonic TX28DT4 is a very good reliable television and easy to use!

I Disregarded The Reviews I Had Read On This Site
I disregarded the reviews I had read on this site and others, and opted to trust my luck, as I've never had a bad Panasonic TV. I've had this TV for 3 months and the TV is excellent. I was very nervous of the auto widescreen feature, but this is very good and not noticeable other than a flag on the screen which pops up to let you know what view it is on. This then disappears after a few seconds to leave a view barely different from the standard widescreen image. I've received a software update via the digital terrestrial signal, which has improved the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) facilities.
I have my Panasonic Video attached to this TV via a scart lead, which enables easy recording procedures directly from the EPG.
Despite previous reviews I've read, I have found that the Text services have been good, only let down by the signal providers.
My only negative comment would be that the TV make a really horrid grinding sound when switched on, but otherwise I think this TV is excellent value for money.

Happy With General Quality Of Tv Including Sound A
Happy with general quality of TV including sound and picture.
The Panasonic TX28DT4 often cuts out a couple of seconds after turning it on. Understand from Comet that Panasonic are aware of the problem which is software related.
Also cannot seem to get BBC multi screen to work.

I Purchased This Panasonic Tx28dt4 Widescreen Tv I
I purchased this Panasonic TX28DT4 Widescreen TV in the hope that paying for the Panasonic marque would guarantee a reasonable level of quality.
How wrong I was. The screen geometry is awful. DVDs play with the right hand 1cm of screen containing two copies of the picture.
Anything that moves across the screen changes its size as it goes: maps, text and horizontal scrolling credits are the worst as they look like they're being pulled over a bumpy surface. It can be quite a nausiating effect in films with broad panning shots...gives you motion sickness!
Focus at the screen edge is diabolical: Digital teletext is almost unreadable at any point of the screen that is closer than 3-4" from the edge.
There are many other niggles about this TV that I won't bore you with. But suffice to say that it is not a good TV.
I returned this TV to the retailer because it was soooo bad. They have since given it back with exactly the same faults and informed me that the TV is "within manufacturers specifications". Panasonic have also been less than helpful. They made some comments about the quality-cost playoff on television production lines but that was about it.
Very bad. I wouldn't reccomend this TV to anyone.
