No telephone line for customer service tells you all you need to know about this mob. Their returns process is long-winded, slow and impersonal. Will never use them again, their online responses are patronising and inept.

I ordered a console at Game website. After I passed the order I noticed that it was going to deliver to my old address (even though I'm sure I changed it) I called customer service immediately to change the address or cancel but they wouldn't do neither. the order was submitted on a Friday and they shipped the item Sunday, they had plenty of time to make any changes but they refused. I requested to escalate the matter to a manager but no answer, sent two emails with no answer. I had to take a day off, find a neighbour in my old address to accept the parcel, and wait 4 hours of transport to go pick it up. Game has no empathy for its customers, I will never forget the pain and struggle they caused me.

I bought a Pokemon Scarlet from GAME.co.uk because they said they would provide a Pokemon figurine in their Twitter post and on their website. Soon after I placed my order, I found that they had silently removed the bonus from the item, so I was worried and started asking them if I could get this bonus. I asked many times, and they could not give me a clear message, which was just the cut-off date of the bonus. They could only tell me general information and claimed I would get this bonus 'while stock last'. They did not want to give me clear information so that I could purchase elsewhere. They did not tell me the bonus cut-off date until 2 hours before the parcel arrived. They told me the cut-off date was 7 Nov 2022, which they should have known before I placed my order. They did not clearly inform customers about their cut-off date so they could get more orders. Because of their trick, I waited for the stock to arrive, and I got nothing. I must pay for the return postage myself if I want to return it, and I do not think they will refund my delivery postage (postage for getting the parcel). Because of the postage loss, I will not return the item. Returning them will make me lose even more. I treat this extra money as a fee to see their true colour. They are very dishonest/ chaotic about their pre-order bonus, so I recommend you not to buy from them. You will only get your bonus 'while stock last'. You can never tell when their stock will run out and how many stocks they have before you cannot easily cancel your order. Even if you go to Paypal to dispute, it isn't easy to prove you are right as they will not include any pre-order bonus information in your order. I wish this pre-order could turn out to be good so I would have become their loyal customer, but unfortunately, they are making me very disappointed.

bought a PS5 Bundle on the 15th June 2022, it was returned because it was faulty, they have received the good back as i have proof of that. But they have not refunded my payment back of £529.97, no matter how may times i contact them via e-mail, thay never reply. would not recommend GAME's.co.uk yo my worst enemy.

My partner unfortunately ordered Wonderlands for the X Box for my birthday from Game in the middle of February, we knew it would not arrive till the 25th of March as this was the release date. On that date an email was sent to her stating that the game would arrive till the 28th. This meant that I had lost out of a special release date offer linked to the product. I did not know that she had also been charged £4.99 for the privilege of late delivery. Yes we stay in Scotland near Inverness, but every other company can manage next day delivery to us for free on orders above £40 let alone 5 weeks and for an order of £80 !! Thankfully my partner has learned her lesson and will never order from this sad excuse for a company again ( their loss as we spend over £400 a year on software), please just order from any supermarket or other online reputable retailer who care about service and their customers.

BAD RETURNS DEPARTMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I would leave 0 stars if I could!I recently bought a PowerA Fusion Pro Wireless controller from game for my boyfriend, within a couple of days I decided to return the product as it was not the right feel for him, he did not use controller he only opened it for inspection. I tried to return the product through their “14day right to change your mind” policy, where it states the product can be opened for inspection but not used, which is what happened. I have been talking with game over the last 2 weeks as there returns department rejected my return claiming it had been used when it had not! Game have also refused to refund me the money I paid to send the return that was rejected on false pretences! I will no longer use GAME to order my products online. Extremely dissatisfied with how they have approached this matter!

Ordered a computer games console 1-2 days click and collect. After 5 days, still not arrived at their store or left the warehouse so I cancelled the order. Their site says full refund if not shipped. Two months later still awaiting refund of almost £400. Promised I would have it by mid Jan, now 17th Feb. Anyone contemplating buying anything from this company needs to check out their lack of customer service. I would not recommend anyone buys anything from this shop

Bought an iPhone X for my son. Phone broke within a month with no damage caused by user. Aberdeen store so unhelpful, couldn’t understand issue or respond unless scripted. One Pleasant staff member Suggested that the resolution would depend on who I spoke to. Immediately Went and got an independent report from Apple who also confirmed damage not caused by user & the phone had had a replacement screen in place. Definitely a Dodgy phone. Reluctantly the Aberdeen GAME store sent the phone off to their technical department Who of course ignored the expert advice from Apple...refused to fix or replace. Shocking!!! Escalated to customer services, they delayed due to COVID & stores closing (totally understood) but chased and chased - now ongoing for 10 months, suggested a refund and they have Just come back to say that They can’t override Aberdeen stores decision. Nothing Can be done. No mention of having broken the Consumer Act. 13 year old gets a £500 Phone for Christmas, it’s proven to be defective - just sickening. COVID and no phone...promises from customer service to assist. Must be Rogues. stay clear.

I ordered a refurbished iPhone 8 plus from GAME online marketplace on the 23rd of April 2020. after looking at estimated delivery times with the new COVID-19 Regulations, it said it may take up to 14 days rather than just a week. so I waited and waited and still, I didn't get any updates, but the money had been taken from my account. After 2 weeks I sent my first email asking if it was on its way and got a vague reply a few days later saying that basically I just need to wait. and then I sent 4 more emails about the whereabouts, delivery times, and even to the original seller with little to no updates. 4 weeks go by and I'm told it had been shipped finally, so I wait again. and it doesn't arrive. I wait another week (at this point its been 5 weeks) and GAME messages me back on Facebook saying there has been no update since the 30th April, so either someone sent out a false email saying it had been shipped when it hasn't, or they have shipped it and it has been lost. after asking gain how long it will take, the next email I get is them saying I'm getting a full refund when I never asked for one, I just asked where the phone was and for a better line of communication. I completely understand that they are working with a skeleton staff and I appreciate its difficult at the moment, but if you are still advertising products and actively selling them then at least provide a better line of communication, or more accurate delivery times. This has caused a huge inconvenience for me as I ordered a phone to use immediately and for my university video recorded assessments, not only could I have ordered a phone from a different seller if they had told me, but I could have also used the money I had spent on other stuff I could have used immediately. To sum up. the lack of communication from GAME is horrific and if you order from online, expect to be juggling emails back and forth with no straight reply.

Dont order anything online with game they are rubbish at fulfilling orders. Once I asked for a refund because I was fed up of waiting they suddenly shipped it. Will not be shopping with these ever again.

I’ve waited three whole weeks for a refund and nothing, still. They have my return and there’s always an excuse as to why they can’t refund it. It was left with head office to manually issue a BACS refund however the 10 working days this would take has elapsed. Now, they’re just completely ignoring me.

That’s the second time I’ve had to deal with this guy in the Game at Clydebank. It’s awful customer service in my opinion. I asked if they had an “edition” of a game and they said oh that’s “Preorder exclusive”. You wanna know why? I got the game no problem on the Nintendo Eshop a week after the game came out and even funnier that I got the preorder bonuses as it was a digital version. The edition that I asked for. It’s also on Amazon and other sites as well. I seen some behind the guy and I told him look there’s stuff there. He said oh sorry that’s for “preorder people” Your talking a load of rubbish because the game has been out for a week and you keep preorders for 2 days or 48 hours. Your just keeping it to yourselves really. The guy gave some cheek too with his tone of voice. I do not recommend going to Game as this incident has happened twice.

I would give 0 stars if i could. I ordered a parcle 2 weeks ago and they lost it so i had to order it again and paid for 24 hour delivery and they lost that one as well, really not impressed with their care or customer support.

I would advise anyone wishing to renew a software licence not to buy a code from The Game in Birkenhead. As I have done for several years now I purchased a Christmas gift for both of my grandsons I requested a 12 month XBOX LIVE renewal for each of them. The assistant typed in a code, produced a printed renewal document which he put in a wallet. These were given to the boys at Christmas. Towards the end of January they tried to renew their XBOX's but they both failed. On checking the documents given to me it was found the assistant had given codes for the wrong hardware. I returned to the store with all the relevant paperwork and explained their mistake. They said it was now after the refund date by 1 week and they could do nothing. I then wrote to the head office and after an exchange of emails they also declined to help. This problem was down to a member of their staff making a mistake. I have now renewed online but am now £100 out of pocket and have had 2 upset grandsons. I will make sure that my family and friends do not use this store in future.

POSTED ON TRUSTPILOT DO NOT USE GAME ONLINE Had I read the other reviews on here I would never have bought from this shower! I ordered FIFA 19 Champions Edition (PlayStation 4) for £67.99 on the 14th November for my 12 Year Old Sons Christmas. On Christmas Night he returned from his bedroom with an empty box and exclaimed that there was no disc within. Thinking he had possibly misplaced it in the excitement to play it, I did a search of his room and saw there was indeed no disc. Contact was made with GAME ONLINE immediately to advise of the matter and ruining his Christmas! An excessive time passed with no communication, it was appreciated that this was within the Festive break, but still I believe the delay in replying to be excessive ....Christmas ruined and then no contact. When they did finally reply the responses were timely. That is to the point of conning me into sending the case back to them to receive my refund as they had none in stock. Communication then ceased, I had to continually chase them for my refund. I was then advised an ''investigation'' was taking place. I replied this was never mentioned previously and I wanted my money! On the 18th January they then advised ''This has been thoroughly investigated by both our management and warehouse teams and unfortunately it has not been deemed possible for an empty case to be sent out with no disc or digital content inside as these are sealed from the manufacturer.'' Absolute nonsense the fact is there was no disc and great offence was taken at the intimation that I was trying to scam a refund from them. Automated processes do fail that is why we have Engineers/Technicians to fix them! And I would hazard a guess, the reply was from someone with not an ounce of an Engineering background. You need only Google to find all the big game manufacturers have had issues with the same happening over the Years. You can also see the comment of a shop assistant giving someone the code for an alternative gaming medium, admitting to the customer they did so and then when the manager is involved they then deny it ever happened - sums up this shower quite nicely. I have asked by Son to switch to Xbox (he rarely uses) but the cost he says is too great. He had run up a bill of £50 buying themes etc. for his games, he asks if ok to do so and repays me when home from working offshore, the chances of me leaving my credit card details for this to continue are slim and if I do take them off the chances of me telling him by phone or online are zero! So, they have my money - I have no disc and they persuaded me into returning the case to be used again that I actually paid for and my Wife took the trouble to package and return....! As a side issue, regards their intimation of me scamming a refund, I returned from work on 18th Jan and whilst in the Taxi I used I happened across an IPad in the rear of the Taxi and immediately brought to the attention of the driver who knew who would have left it. I would not dream of keeping said item or indeed scamming regards the missing disc. I will never buy from this shower ever again and shall be contacting PlayStation and Trading Standards with my complaint and bringing to their attention the numerous Customer Complaints on Trustpilot over various issues regards GAME ONLINE. It is this lot that need investigating! I have all information on file to substantiate my complaint. Unhappy and furious at their implications! Cheers

Ordered an xbox one console on black friday sale, was sent out following day (happy days) via Yodel (not so happy days) delivery was apparently refused, it wasn't, don't know where they tried to deliver to. It was returned to sender. After numerous conversations with online chat (won't go into details or will be here all week) they eventually received it back a week and a half later, asked for it to be sent out again (As I had been told I could do all along) only to be told (5 Days later after contacted them again) it was out of stock, really when you had back what I had ordered? Made a complaint and have been waiting a week for a 'manager' to call me. Don't bother with this company they use a useless courier and have non existent customer service.

DO Not use online trade-in... Sent off 6 games for trade, got an email to say one of the games (Resident Evil 4) was not UK made. Rubbish, I actually bought this particular game in my local Game store. They refused to give me money for the game and refused to return it.. Games was valued at £8 so I've lost that money. I won't be using this service again, sell on ebay or Amazon instead. Customer Service is much better..

Appalling company. Will not get another penny from me ever! Preordered special edition nba2k for my son. Paid £85 for this edition and was meant to be delivered on release day...today. Not arrived. Customer service is a joke. Live chat advisor copy and pasted standard responses about delivery taking up to 3 days. This is not what you advertised on your website at time of purchase. Even an order costing this much can not be tracked apparently. Utter disgrace. Will stick with Amazon in future.

GAME online. You would suppose that it's a good service. Right? Everything seems inviting about the site. The layout, everything. Well it's a good service, up until you order something. For example, I ordered Saints Row 4 Re-Elected. It said it was in stock, so I decided to order it. It said 2-3 working days delivery. Well mine took 14 days. But you would think it came. It didn't. Took them 14 days to email me saying:" It's not in stock". Embarrassing. For every story there is a moral, for this story the moral is: "Don't order from GAME online, get your games from Amazon or the store on your console". But with full honesty, I am telling the truth, as fun as this story is written, I am not lying. I will leave you with a piece of advice; "Don't buy from GAME, or online."
