A Great Location Once You Find Your Way Around. Be

A great location once you find your way around. Beach front hotel with lots of events on course such as para gliding, waterskiing, just look out for Smily Miley, oops!!! He will look out for you!!!!! Great for relaxing as everything is on hand. Excellent for touring Sousse City centre within walking distance, lots of cheap transport available, friendly and helpful staff. Careful of the over-friendly people who pop up from nowhere! They expect to be paid. Make sure you check out of your room in time or there is a fee of 25 dinars and has to be paid. I would rate it 9 out 10 considering we got an excellent deal. Only only wanted a base to sleep and change so it was more than ideal for our purpose.

The Corridor Lights Were Never On At The Sousse Dr

The corridor lights were never on at the Sousse Dreams Beach Hotel, possibly to save electricity I think! There were cats roaming around the food area all the time. You have to pay to hire the sunbeds in the hotel, even though you have already PAID for your holiday. You have to pay extra money for fried eggs and spam, pancakes and omelettes. Cleanliness was not even minimum, as the bath had a permanent tide mark, and the floors were 'mopped' using a dirty rag on the end of a brush.

The Rep Was More Than Useless At The Sousse Dreams

The rep was more than useless at the Sousse Dreams Beach Hotel in Tunisia, and even as a couple with a 10 year old daughter, we expected a bit more entertainment than a 30 minute magic show, and on some evenings there was none.

The rep did nothing for you, and if you spoke to her, it was like you were putting her out.

There were the same old day and evening tours on offer, but who really wants to pay out loads of money to see other people make prats of themselves, and be given rubbish food, and be expected to pay for it?

If you are after a quiet break and have no life left in your bones, then this is the hotel for you.

My Boyfriend And I (both Early 30's) Went To The D

My Boyfriend and I (both early 30's) went to the Dreams Beach Hotel for 7 days at the end of May 2005.

We got a very good deal for our holiday, half board.

We weren't expecting much and really only needed a base for the sightseeing that we wanted to do.

We weren't disappointed. The airport transfer was faultless and the Dreams Beach is luckily the first drop off so after arriving we were only about half an hour on the coach before arriving at the hotel.

Unfortunately we had suffered a 10 hour flight delay at Gatwick so when we arrived we were very tired but not wanting to miss any of our holiday went straight for a beach walk and within 10 mins had forgotten of our long airport delay.

The welcome meeting was enthusiastic - not too long although due to our tiredness we didn't book anything there and then and waited a few days to see what we could do ourselves rather than planned excursions.

Later in the week we booked a 2 day Sahara Explorer trip (for £74 each) It was brilliant - see link http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=178

Stuff the cost!! Go, it's an experience and well worth the money!!

The sunrise over the salt lakes on the 2nd day was amazing - a real experience. Its tiring and you do get a bit coach weary by the end but this is broken up by the jeep rides, the horse and carriage ride and not forgetting one of the highlights - an hour long camel ride in the Sahara (20 dinar each - about £8.50 each which included the camel ride and the horse and carriage ride through the date plantation- well worth it!)

While we were at the hotel they were obviously making improvements, a neon sign went up, a beach bar was being painted, ready for the season and it was obvious that while the hotel is a little old and tired the staff try their very best to make your stay enjoyable... the funniest highlight of my holiday was coming back to the room and discovering that the linen/chamber maid had arranged my nightie and my boyfriends flannel in fan like displays (we made sure we gave her a tip) ha ha

While we were there it was mostly couples or older families with teenagers and that suited us perfectly.

If you want great laid on entertainment, karaoke, pub quizzes, kiddie clubs and rep parties then you're better off going more into the Port El Kantoui resort but for us who just enjoy a couple of cold beers after a day on our feet then head up to the bar at the top of the hotel with lovely views over the ocean and quiet - it was great.

If You Are After A Very Relaxing Holiday, Sousse

If you are after a very relaxing holiday, Sousse Dreams Beach Hotel resort may be the right one for you. Don't expect any action! The deal we got was a good one, so we obviously have to keep that in mind. But we think this hotel should have been slightly better to deserve the three star rating. The outside hotel pool closes at 5pm. Costs money to use sun beds around it. Inside jacuzzi is actually not a jacuzzi, but more like a children's pool. Not warm enough either. Closes 7pm which is way too early.

The "gym" cannot be called a gym. Consists of two fairly useless machines and two square metres to move within.

Food was tasteless and had little selection. Much poorer than any other place we've ever been. Had to pay a pound for an omelette for breakfast although we were on half board. Never experienced that before. Eggs were very runny, so we didn't take a chance on them. The toasted bread was with no exeption burnt too much and were therefore not edible. Food was not given any, so it is difficult for vegetarians to know what is containing meat. Nice juices though, and we believe that kids wouldn't object too much to the food.

Scruffy parking lot between the hotel and the beach.

Very dirty hallways. Floors in hotel room not cleaned well.

Very spacious and modern hotel rooms. Great views from the balcony if it is facing towards the sea.

Friendly and helpful staff who also tried their best to overcome the language barrier (some don't speak English).

Easy to get hold of a taxi, so despite the location, it was cheap and easy to get to Sousse and Port El Kantaoui.

It also has to be mentioned that we were happy with Panorama, although we only needed their help for the transfers.

We Visited The Dreams Beach Hotel With 4 Children

We visited the Dreams Beach Hotel with 4 children aged between nine and seventeen. We were very happy with the hotel and Panorama service especially in cases of emergency. It is reasonably small and family run and had some form of live entertainment at least 3 nights a week. Although we went B&B we had the Buffet several nights at a cost of four pounds each which was very good value. I would definitely recommend this Hotel.
