“Been twice, going again this year. ”

★★★★☆

written by willie mc c on 16/08/2008

Been twice, going again this year.
The manageress was fantastic friendly and very helpful.
The entertainment team was unreal.
Don't expect Spain or Teneirfe.
It's good hotel and food OK for Tunisia, and all inclusive.
Half pints so go twice as much to bar, or take airport spirits with you.

This was a weeks holiday to try Tunisia. We wont be going back. The hotel was a poor 3 star. The food although plentiful was a bit cheap, pork livers etc. The salads and pastas were nice but I really was fed up eating this for a week. Fish and meat were not as we know it and the few times something decent was on there was not enough and/it looked undercooked. We decided to play it safe and stick to the things that would not make us ill. Some of the waiters and rest of staff were lovely on arrival and as we were tipping, but on the last day they couldn't have cared less. The tea and coffee for all guests was disgusting and I had to pay 80p for a Tetley tea bag. The alcohol is not! I could have drunk ten pints of beer and still been sober. The surrounding area outside the hotel was awful and very run down.

written by HolidaySeeker on 06/01/2007

At the time we booked the holiday, which cost us a fortune for all inclusive, the hotel was advertised as 4 stars. However in our opinion, having travelled around the World staying in many 4 start hotels, the Garden Resort Hotel would struggle to make 3 stars even. After a painful 5 days, of our 2 week holiday, and a lot of tears from our two young daughters, we were forced to move to another hotel. Yasmine beach was heavenly, a stones throw from the beach and we had a great stay during the remaining days of our holiday there. That was only after we paid a hefty £377 cancellation charge to the Garden Resort Hotel manager, who confiscated our things when we threatened to leave. The tour operators said their hands were tied. My advice is that this hotel may be OK for singles and couples but if you are taking kids with you on holiday stay away from this hotel or be prepared for a nightmare. Note that the name Garden Resort is deceptive because the all the other holiday resorts are located 2 miles away, that is where Yasmine Beach and other lovely hotels are situated.

We loved the whole holiday stay at the LTI Hammamet Garden hotel. The young boys of the entertainment team took us out every night to their local club "Latinos". We had a ball with all of them. We all swapped numbers, and we are still calling each other now and then. We are planning to go back there in June or July. So see you soon!!

“Having read many bad reports about LTI Hammamet...”

★★★★☆

written by Ella Codey on 08/03/2006

Having read many bad reports about LTI Hammamet Garden(after I'd booked it up!) I tried to get it changed as I was obviously worried ... luckily I didn't manage to change it and I'm glad I didn't as it was the best holiday I've had.
I went with my teenage daughter in Dec 05 and returned again in Jan 06 and we're going back again in April this year for the third time. If this doesn't speak volumes then I'm not sure what does!?

The animation team work very hard and long hours to entertain everyone at the hotel - and at the end of their long day they still insisted that they took us to the local nightclub 'Latinos'. The local males can be a bit 'over friendly' towards single women but the animation guys were always there for us to make sure we were safe and totally enjoyed our holiday (THANKS GUYS!)

You have to remember that Tunisia is a poor country - so even if you are all-inclusive a small tip of a couple of Dinars (which is less than £1) is extremely welcomed by the staff and they really appreciate the thought - although we were never made to feel as though we HAD to tip!

All-in-all an excellent hotel and a brilliant holiday.

“Christmas in a Muslim country was different.........”

★★★★★

written by pritchardjd on 29/01/2006

Christmas in a Muslim country was different...... There was no tacky christmas music being rammed down your throat everywhere you went. however, The Hammamet Garden Resort pulled out all the stops on Christmas Eve.
All the Guests, including many children gathered in the foyer at 6.30 pm to greet Father Christmas.... the atmosphere was electric. Each child received a gift.
Then it was into the dining room for a beautiful table waited 5 course meal with entertainment between each course. It really was a fantastic night.
On reading some of the awful reviews on this site I ask myself this Question..... Did some of these people ever leave the hotel? There are plenty of things to do in Hammamet and the surrounding area.
Camel riding, horse riding, Quad biking, Plenty of places of interest to visit, and of course retail therapy.... this is where you HAVE to haggle to get the best bargains.... If you just go with the flow.... Laugh a lot and keep smiling... start with a ridiculously low offer you will soon get the hang of it.The Tunisian people are very very friendly.

Back to the Hotel.... the outdoor pools are far too cold at Christmas...but the indoor pool, although small, was great and spotlessly clean.
Our maid did an excellent job on the room everyday.
The bar staff and the waiters work really hard and are always polite and willing to please....The all inclusive drinks are local and more than adequate.
The food in the dining room is plentiful, varied, tasty and fresh. the dining room staff are friendly and very efficient. All inclusive drinks are served at your table.
All inclusive alcholic drinks end at 11pm....but all inclusive sandwiches, tea coffee and soft drinks are avalable 24 hrs a day.
The general appearance ot the hotel is kept spotlessly clean.
For the price we British pay... who could possibly ask for more.
My wife and I enjoyed ourselves so much that just 10 days after arriving home we returned to the Hammamet Garden for another 2 weeks
A more pleasant and happy hotel would be hard to find..... We hope to return soon

“The LTI Hammamet Garden was probably 4* when opened,...”

written by forgotten racer on 04/11/2004

The LTI Hammamet Garden was probably 4* when opened, but is looking a bit worn out now. The surrounding area is very grotty with no shops or bars to speak of. There is plenty of food but several people came down with food poisoning, we were ok but were very careful to keep away from the salads and sauce dishes which were reported to be the cause. Quite a few of the kids who had used the pool came down with tummy bugs as well. If you are going all inclusive be aware that you only get half pints of beer, very rough wine and a schnapps type short as well as soft drinks. No vodka or brandy, and you have to queue up as well. The staff are good and the rooms clean.

“LTI Hammamet Garden: ”

★★★☆☆

written by faisa on 13/07/2004

LTI Hammamet Garden:
Restaurant food was generally very good with a wide selection at each meal. Staff in restaurants, bars were very friendly and helpful. Particularly Mohamed Hallaoui who was very friendly. Hotel was peaceful, of a good standard and the grounds were lovely.

Staff at reception were a bit sharp (except for young French speaking woman, non Tunisian) and were generally not very friendly.
