We've used our Kenwood SB206 smoothie maker every day, at least once a day if not 2-3 times a day. My ten year old and 13 year old love it and could use it with ease BUT after a month it had died. I don't think the small engine could cope with our industrial use of it!
May buy another Kenwood as looked at reviews before buying this product and have always thought highly of Kenwood but may consider another make next time. Will definitely get a smoothie maker with a bigger engine though

I've had my Kenwood SB206 Smoothie Maker for about 2 years and find it great and easy to use and its power is great for its size. It can crush ice easily and makes lovely drinks for all occasions. It also looks good in the silver finish it's great for when you have a party or friends over and you want to enjoy a nice cold cocktail.

The Kenwood SB206 smoothie maker is a great, easy to use and clean gadget. I enjoy cocktails in the summer and vegetable smoothies in the winter. This gadget also looks very modern on your kitchen worktop.
Well done Kenwood!!

Ive had this Kenwood SB206 Smoothie Maker for about 2 1/2 years (or however long its been out) and I use it about once or twice a fortnight. I'm very impressed with it as it smoothes well and is very powerful - it gets the job done well and quickly, which is the main thing.
The only downers are that it is really noisy, which is minor, it gets very hot inside, making it almost impossible to crush ice (unless you put the jug in the freezer beforehand). Also, as another reviewer said, the dispenser tap isnt right at the bottom of the jug, so bits get stuck at the bottom.

Overall, the Kenwood SB206 Smoothie Maker is a good appliance that I'm happy to have. It is *very* noisy when run, but it is very powerful. The spout is not the best - hopefully they will improve upon it with the next model. The stir stick was a nice touch, but became annoying after a few weeks, so I removed it.

The Kenwood SB206 Smoothie Maker is so easy to use and more importantly easy to clean. Great for making healthy drinks and a good way to get all those extra vitamins and calcium from fruit and vegetables that we need to stay healthy.

Kenwood Smoothie Makers - I have an industrial strength juicer which will juice apples, carrots or any other hard fruit or vegetable whole (delicious)- it does, of course, produce the juice and leave a semi-dry waste product. What would a smoothie do with an apple? Do you have to mix a liquid in with it? Does it just pulp what you put in? Is it only for soft fruits? Is it dishwasher save? Do I need one????? :-)
Any info greatfully received.

Indeed you are sylvia33 and if you add a nice wodge of ice cream to your drink, you'll end up with a most interesting moustache!

Having just asked what is the difference between a Juicer and a Smoothie Maker, it looks as though the main difference is that a Juicer produces straightforward juice whereas a Smoothie Maker creates a more appetising 'frothy' drink. Am I right?

Thanks for your quick reply, Sue. I can see now that it produces a kinda Capuccino head to one's preferred fruit or vegetable juice. Yummy!!

The Kenwood SB206 Smothie Maker is not a multi-purpose liquidizer because the blades are raised above the spout of the tap to produce a foamy smoothie, making it not good at grinding dry ingredients.
