I'm One Of Those People Who Just Wants A Phone Tha

I'm one of those people who just wants a phone that works and as long as it still works I'll keep it. It's also become a talking point in the pub, one of my friends even thought it was a radio! If you come across one of these in good nick and cheap I'd recommend it.

Had My Sony Cmd-z7 For Nearly 4 Years Now And Woul

Had my Sony CMD-Z7 for nearly 4 years now and wouldn't change it for the world had the odd Nokia but have always gone back to using my Sony. It's robust, has a large screen the dial navigation is very good it still has the same battery it came with the only thing that has gone wrong with it is the housing is a tad loose but it is 4 years old! Ring tones are rubbish if the volume is high so can be a little hard to hear, games aren't great but all in all a great little phone.

This Is Short But To The Point. The Sony Cmd-z7 Is

This is short but to the point. The Sony CMD-Z7 is the Caprice of mobile phones (great looks/body). The downsides were that it was a one for turning off during a phone call and when on standby. The battery quality wasn't brilliant (lasted ages though) so simple to use with the jog dial, and texting was dead simple. I even set up my email account on it so that I could send and receive my emails whilst I'm out. Never let me down at all. I got it unlocked to all networks the reception was still as strong as ever. This is definitely a phone to consider if you want style. I had lots of people trying to steal it off me around school because it's just such a cool little phone. If you buy a second hand one, track down a brand new battery to install then it will be fantastic. 2nd hand prices are around £50 because they are so sort after. I owned it for 3 years and only changed it due to colour screens and cameras becoming available. I gave it my best mate, who is still using it today after only one repair. This phone that he is using is like 5 years old now and it's still going!!!

A decent phone. It is currently 2 years old, but the features it provides you with are still to be matched to this day. Features include:

Large screen (3 inches)

World clock

Blackjack and Table Football

Voice Dial

700 number phonebook memory

110 hour battery life

and this is just to name a few. A good phone.

I Can't Believe What Others Have Said About This P

I can't believe what others have said about this phone. I have had my phone for over two years now, the thumb wheel still works perfectly and is one of the best menu navigation tools in my opinion. The software has never crashed and has a great menu navigation. Although after two and a bit years the battery life has now been reduced to about 2-4 days with my normal use compared to about 4-7 when I first got it, but that can only be expected. I text quite a lot with this phone and the keypad is still responsive and has not become worn.

Overall this is a fantastic phone and if given average use and treated reasonably well (like I have with mine) it will stay in new working order even after 2 years of use.

I Upgraded From An 8210 To This Phone And Initiall

I upgraded from an 8210 to this phone and initially it was a great phone which looked and felt much better than the Nokia. It is not a very robust phone and in the 12 months I had it Sony had it for repair on 3 occasions, usually to do with the flip/microphone or the jog dial sticking.

The most annoying feature is the ringtone volume which is either too loud (which distorts the ringtone) or too quiet.

The phone is easy to use and the jog dial is an excellent way to navigate the features, when it works!!

In conclusion it is an expensive phone which is vunerable to problems.

I Upgraded From A Nokia 6210 And It's The Worst Mo

I upgraded from a Nokia 6210 and it's the worst move I've ever made.

One software crash stops the thumbwheel working except up and down until you turn the phone off.

Another error is occasionally the phone will mute but not be IN mute-mode, ie the speaker will stop working until you restart the phone.

The flippy-bit is annoying and feels fragile, the WAP doesn't really work that well and the ringtones are naff as hell. Could really do with a composer.

Seriously, don't buy it. It's a piece of junk. I'm never buying a Sony again. Ever.

The Z7 Has Lots Of Faults Like Rubbish Ring Tones,

The z7 has lots of faults like rubbish ring tones, always breaking, (mine has broken twice same problem both times!!) I must admit the WAP is quite good, the vibrate you are better off having a pet fly in your pocket which breaks wind when your phone rings... wot more do i need to say?!?

Charles.

If You're Considering This Sony Z7 Mobile Phone It

If you're considering this Sony Z7 mobile phone it is quite possibly the worst phone I have used. If you like cheesy ZX spectrum ring tones and a selection of naff pictures to send, then this is for you. The quick menu doesn't have one useful item on it, no messaging, no phone book etc. It only has all the services that no one ever uses. The phone does look good, is small and light and has decent battery life. This phone sucks.

Disgruntled.

You are all idiots. This phone is fantastic. I liked it so much I bought the company. Come round to my factory and I'll stick a z7 up each and every one of your ****'s. Then you can hold a conference call. Now b*gger off and Scr*w your nokias.

The phone is great, sure the vibrate is useless, but the rest of the facilities are very good. Very clear screen for the time, and it is very very durable.

Daniel.

Tom your way off on this, I need a phone that has a vibrating alert and prior to this had an ericsson which could walk off the table when rung. This Sony barely tickles and I have missed untold calls because of this feature, whilst I might not go as far as actually sticking the phone up my **** as the original reviewer suggests, I do agree with the sentiment.

mlsw1.

Tom you're totally wrong. I've had nothing but problems with this phone since I got it. You can't hear any of the ring tones on nomal volume. If you have it on high volume the battery disappears after one ring. The vibrate is pants.

The phone turns all it's own sounds off for a laugh every now and again. This can only be rectified by turning it off and on again. Of course you've been missing calls while you didn't know you had a fault.

I agree it's small and light and stylish but hey it doesn't work!!!!

Tom.

Charles, it sounds like you should take your own advice and shove the phone up your ****. This phone is the don
