A few years ago my husband bought me a new wedding ring from Samuels Worcester as we renewed our wedding vows in Mexico (un be known to me) as a birthday present he bought me new engagement ring with a 1/4 diamond In it from same shop the manager served us And was both attentive and helpful and so pleasant and did everything to help us including ordering the next size up from another shop to make sure I was happy with the fit of the ring So I had a choice which only took 2days from day I went into shop we took out insurance as any sensible person would as the ring was so expensive I’m now wearing an amazing gorgeous ring which I love thank you samuels for all your kindness

worst experience. Each store I travelled down to the staff's were very unhelpful. Went to purchase our wedding rings. They messed our whole order up along with the insurance. They were unable to cancel due to some system issue that suddenly seemed to have occurred. Told us to come back into store next day. cancelled the order and had to place another. Went to collect from the Blackburn store. They told us if we need the insurance cancelling we would have to go back to Manchester the Trafford centre. Went back to Trafford to be told the Blackburn store could have cancelled your insurance on the ring.

I ordered the ring on 27/12/2017 to make an offer to my girlfriend for the new year. The ring was due on 30/12/2017, but on 29/12/2017 I received a letter that my order was canceled. The holiday was spoiled. Money from the account was unfrozen only in the middle of January 2018. After I wrote in support and still did not receive a reply.

Took my engagement ring in for a quote as my diamond fell out, thankfully I had the diamond. In the Barnstaple High street store (Devon) the lady told me she would have to send it off to get a quote and I would be called from the warehouse, if I was happy with the price they would go ahead and do the work. She said she could give me a ballpark figure of what it might be but still needed to be sent off for a proper evaluation. She said she thinks it would be around about £83. Off I went waiting a few weeks for this call, hadn't received anything. In the meantime I had found somewhere who would do it for £50 so thought great I would just go pick up my ring and take it there when it was back. Got a text from H.Samuel saying my item was back in store so go to collect my not fixed ring but they had done the work and said I had to pay. I explained I did not receive a call so never gave them permission to do the work on the ring and I was coming to collect my unfixed ring today. They told me what I was saying doesn't match what is in their system so they would need to speak to the lady who originally dealt with me. Had to go back up 2 days later was confronted by the store manager who was extremely rude. Brought my ring out in no bag just held in her hand, slammed it down on the glass top cabinet and said "well you may as well just have it as you have Miss understood what you were told and my employee tells me a different story" frankly I was shocked! But glad I didn't have to pay. Asked if I had to sign anything, she replied "no, but just so you know the work is not garunteed because you havnt paid for it " she then walks out into the back office. I left stunned she was so rude and had the attitude of a sulky teenager. Will never return here and will never recommend!

Bought my future wife a ring from H.samuels brent cross. It was on sale from 450 down to £330. It look very nice. I keept in the draw for a right moment. One day I opened to have a look and it was all dark green. Called them up and been told they cant do anything about it. This people are selling scam in there. I have solid gold ring on my finger for the last 15 years day to day wearing and he didn't change a colour. H Samuels everyone stay away from this stores if you don't want to be disappointed and look like fool in front of your lady. I will get my money one way or other...

If considering buying an engagement/wedding/eternity ring, or any jewellery of any value, sentimental or monetary, DO NOT BUY FROM H SAMUEL'S!!!! I have been married for 5years, my wedding ring cost £500 new. Within a couple of months a stone had fallen out. They had it tested and said that it was customer caused; not faulty. Obviously this was ridiculous, my engagement ring is of the same metal and I am an accountant so I work behind a desk all day. Luckily the store manager agreed with us, and as it was at her discretion she sent it away to be fixed at the cost of H Samuel anyway. All in all I think it it took about 2months to get it sorted. A couple of years later I noticed a claw was broken in the middle of the ring. In store they said it would take 6-8 weeks once it had been assessed and would cost up to £40 to fix! Obviously I didn't want to be without my ring for another 2months so I got a quote from a local jeweller. They said it would take up to two weeks and could cost up to £30. Obviously I went with these; they had it back to me in TWO days and charged me £20. Last October a different diamond fell out. I took it to store and they basically said they wouldn't give me a quote in store, it would need to be sent off and could take 6 weeks; they would then give me a quote and it could take another 6-8 weeks to actually fix it. Again I went to the local jewellers, it took them 10days to fix it and get it back to me. I e-mailed H Samuel and told them what had happened over the few years. They replied and asked for my phone number so they could speak to me. I sent them my number; to which they replied by e-mail to say take it into a store with my original receipt and speak to the manager. What that would do I don't know as I'm fairly sure they will just want to send it off for 6-8weeks for testing. Oh and I'm guessing it would come back as being all my fault. Today, a THIRD stone has fallen out; and definitely not the one that was most recently replaced by the proper jewellers as that was an end stone and this is 4 in. So in the 5years I have been married, my £500 ring has lost 3stones and had a claw broken. It has cost me an extra £120 already, and to replace this third stone will cost at least another £100. From a company as well established as H Samuels I would expect their jewellery to be much better quality; and also their aftercare is absolutely APPALLING. Why does it take so long to do anything?!! And they overcharge so much for repairs, even changing a watch battery is a rip off compared to better locals jewellers. So please take heed of my warning and DO NOT BUY FROM H SAMUELS!!!!!!

Recently my friends got me silver diamond bracelet for my birthday. One link had to me removed in it and first they misleading customers as my friends have been told when they were buying it in one branch that service would be for free. In another branch they said that you've got to pay as it has to be sent away. After one week I've collected bracelet which was damaged as the people who were taking out link didn't do the job properly. Me and my friend pointed it out to the sales assistant which she answered after speaking to the manager who never came around that it's like that when they taking out link and they can send it back to polish. We couldn't believe that after buying expensive item she could suggest that it's like that when they taking out link. We requested the same new bracelet which she wasn't willing to give at the beginning and she was saying in a rude manner that we should listen to her as new one could come back in a same state again. At last after we insisted and she went to speak to manager again she agreed to give us a new one as a good manager's gesture. Though she said to us that if new one would come back in a same state we won't be able to get an exchange or refund. Finally just received bracelet which was done properly and with care but had to go through the stress as there is some staff who is working in that shop simply don't care and give very bad customer service. I'm very disappointed with this experience and would never buy anything in that store again.

For my Sixteenth Birthday my Mother bought me a signet ring Two years later my Mother Died and never took the ring off my finger and then forty Six years later I caught the bottom of the ring on a door handle it was slightly damaged. So I called into my local H M Samuels in Washington and asked if they could cut of my ring for me cost me ten pound. I then asked if they could resize this for me and I was told it would not be a problem but to wait for about four weeks to allow my finger to plump up so I did then took my ring in to be sent off for resizing They took a picture and sent it off to be resized the Manager reassured me that my ring would be fine and they would polish it at that point I was worried as it had engraving ether side and I asked the Manager if the polishing would affect the engraving he assured me that the engraving would be fine and the ring would look good as new and I would have it back with in a couple of weeks I then asked how much it would cost and I was told that I would be contacted with the price by the repairs service never got a call from them and two weeks later I called in and asked about my ring and yes you have guess it not there then another two weeks went by and the Manager of the store rang me and said it was going to cost £181.00 pounds for the repair and as I cherished this ring so much I agreed to the price well almost two months later I received another phone call to tell me my ring was back in I was so excited by the thought of getting my ring back until I saw it they had polished it that much the engraving was no longer visible I was so upset the assistant rang the repair centre and I was told that they may not be able to correct it but they said to send it back so they did another month passed by and my ring was returned I felt sick at the thought of seeing it as I new deep down that it would never be the same and I was so Wright they had not rectified the re mistake and yes yet again after arguments with the so called Manager it has been sent back to the repair shop so if I get my ring back on the sixth of July it will have been Three months and my once so beautiful signet ring so precious will no longer resemble the gift I was given by my Mother all those years ago. This despicable disgraceful deplorable company has ruined and broken my heart forever they will never be forgiven and I would never advice anyone to shop or take anything there to be repaired

I bought a bracelet & the item number on the receipt did not match the item on the website so the price could have been made up. when I spoke to the shop they weren't interested I wrote to their head office twice & NO reply to either letter! I emailed them & simply told to go back to the shop as they could not find the item number either

My partner bought me a lovely blue topaz and diamond ring from our local H Samuels store. Unfortunately they didn't have the ring size in store so had to order it in which is kind of what I was expecting as I have chubby fingers. We opted to have the ring delivered to home rather than having to brave the crowds in town during the run up to Christmas. We were advised by the manager that the ring would be delivered on Thursday the 10th December. Thursday the 10th came and went . . . no ring! My partner and I went into the store on the following Saturday to find out what had happened, only to be be told that there had been an issue with the original order and they had to re-order it into store and we should have been called to notify us. Well guess what, we weren't! Thankfully the second ring that they had ordered had not been sold and so we went home with it that day. My birthday came around on the 14th and I went to work wearing my lovely new ring, didn't give it a thought that typing and walking around the office would be hazardous. After 7 hours of wearing it, the largest blue topaz stone fell out! Fortunately I managed to find it and kept it and the rest of the ring safe. My partner went down to the store the following day at great inconvenience to his sleep schedule as he works nights and drives only to be give the run around that a replacement would take 5-6 weeks to arrive. According to him, the girl who served him sized the ring and as it turns out, they ordered a size smaller than I originally requested. If I wanted the slightly smaller size it could be in store to pick up 2 days later. So 2 days later, he goes in to find that they couldn't be bothered to order the replacement and fobbed him off with a refund without an apology or offer of an exchange! Absolutely disgusted with them!

I went into a store and asked if they could adjust watch straps, a simple enough request. I was met with condescending looks from the sales assistant (presumably because I am 16) and was told quite rudely that it would cost £20. I knew they were just trying to get rid of me, probably assuming I had some tatty watch (I actually was hoping to get my micheal Kors watch adjusted). I obviously declined their offer and went to beaverbrooks where I was met with polite customer service and only a £10 charge.

Helped me choose another set of rings, has ordered me another ring as they never had my size in stock and will text me when it comes in. I will definitely shop here again. I cant mention his name buthe will know who he is - thank you for a very professional service.

I visited the Kidderminster store to buy my partner a watch for his 40th and the service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, it was a pleasure to shop there.

My partner bought my engagement ring mid August for £329. It was resized down by only 1 size. Within 2 weeks the ring had cracked away from the stone setting. Shop assistant advised that resizing to a j was too small for the design and shouldn't have been done (I'd originaly just asked for a clip but assistant advised resizing was best as clips scratch the ring). Sent for soldering back together. After a week I rang, they couldn't find it! Gave it a few more days, still couldn't find it. Promised phone calls, they never came. After 2 weeks told it would be back in a few days. Asked for a refund. Told I had to wait till it came back into the shop! I said no. Supposedly issuing refund today over the phone. Hope it happens. Hsamuel give poor advice. My ring wasn't cheap at £329. I wore that ring for 4 weeks at most. Nice designs but very poor quality jewellery and advice. And spoiled what is supposed to represent one of the happiest events in my life. Will never buy anything from their again.

I don't normally bother with reviews but I am so appauled at the terrible service i have received that this needs to be known: Took a watch for repair as they told me a pin was missing, took 10 days for them to quote £25 and another ten days to return it as it's not worth paying that much. Took it to Timpsons watch repairs in Prestwich and the man clicked it back into place in 5 seconds flat! there was never a pin missing - furthermore when I complained to HSamuel I got no reply whatsoever! seems profit making is their only agenda! If you are thinking of going to this chain store jewelers I urge you to go to a smaller non chain store outlet

I have shopped at H Samuel several times I have bought lots of jewellery and watches, an engagement ring, two wedding rings and most recently a Fossil quartz watch for everyday wear. The Fossil watch I purchased stopped working after about 6 weeks after purchase so I returned it to my local store who advised me it was the battery at fault but they didn’t have any in stock so would send it off for repair and return it to me. Later the same week I received a different watch posted to my home address. I contacted their customer services who have been incompetent, rude and ignorant in that order. They first asked me to contact the store, I contacted the store who asked me to contact customer services. I contacted customer services a second time who asked for some information which I provided, then they asked for the same information again which I provided, again. That was two weeks ago and despite calls and emails I have been ignored since. I thought it important to share my experience because as their Customer Services have refused to address the complaint it’s my only recourse. I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything from H Samuel again and I certainly won’t trust them with anything that I value in future and I implore anybody reading this to learn from my misfortune.

I recently visited the Cheltenham H Samuel storeI was greeted by a young girl short in height in a friendly, happy nature. Upon just saying I wanted to browse I was told iif there was anything just to let her know. All nice so far, but another member of staff was having trouble with something so called the manager down & I have never witnessed such a sour faced person in my life. She immediately starts patronizing the poor girl that called her down from whatever she was doing upstairs & spoke to her in a timely rude manor. It was very uncomfortable to watch. The manager seemingly stomped across the shop like a child that has to go to bed without pudding. I almost felt embarrassed for her. The girl that greeted me tried to make small talk with me, maybe to distract from the situation or maybe to just be friendly but I made an excuse to leave and didn't end up purchasing anything. I think the manager needs to conduct herself in a better manor. Completely unacceptable.

Took my watch into the Gloucester branch for a battery replacement in November last year. They couldn't get the back off it but in the process left 2 deep scratches on the side. Agreed to send it back to Rotary to get scratches buffed out. After several visits to the shop and them telling me that it was still at Rotary they rang at beginning of this month to tell me it had been lost in transit. I contacted Rotary who had returned it to them on the 23rd of December and it had been signed for.Told me blatant lies in January that the watch was still at Rotary. Still awaiting a reply from their customer Services. Iv'e never dealt with such a shower. Now telling me that I have to spend my compensation in their shop!! No chance. Wish I had read reviews before going anywhere near them

I would like to praise the Managers at H Samuels in Worcester. They have always got time to listen to your views and complaint and if they can help they will try and resolve. Very happy with service and my husband always shops here.
