I use Greggs a lot around Newport town centre. Also in Tredegar south wales. I've always enjoyed their tomato soup and Mexican Baggett. The one in Newport is spot on with the food usually. But today I noticed different staff serving which was no problem. They were happy to help. The only thing was I was not offered a serviette with my food and cake. Maybe to some that don't seem like a lot of fuss. But to me its the principle as they always offer this with cakes normally. Now the one in Tredegar is a bit limits on its products as its a very small shop. My partner wasn't very well on one occasion and suffers with lupus. I went and bought her a baguette and asked if they would be so kind as to put a little mayo on it. I explained that my partner was ill in bed and that we were regular customers as I live in Tredegar and use their shop a lot regularly. They said no we cant put mayo on it for you. I even offered to pay for it. But they still said no. I think the customer cutesy is very lack in a majority of these shops. Seems to be the norm these days in a lot of shops and supermarket stores.

Greggs made all the skilled in-store bakers redundant all 80+ in-stores in SE England from May-Oct 2014! therefore what you buy now is yesterdays bread, roll and bun products supplied from factories. Not really a way forward for a company who pride themselves on quality and above all say its fresh....really!!!! Even the sandwiches are made with day old bread... They were good times back in the days of Bakers Oven! not mass produce and sent out to shops from the factories i.e. Enfield. Greggs lost the way in terms of being No1 on the High Street, lack of ideas and innovation from newcomers in Management who haven't a clue of how to run a Bakery chain...just earn fat money for the shareholders. Good Luck Greggs I'm sure there's a market for you still but not my first choice anymore.

Massive queues need more staff, people are walking away.

I have always liked Greggs and supported them during the VAT saga, but the time has come to shop else where.Prices are creeping up almost weekly and i now find it is cheaper using other local shops.Sorry but another price hike this week means i am no longer a customer.

Why is it that Gregg outlets do not provide customers with printed receipts like most shops? The price of various items in some Grggs shops is not very clear so customers should be able to see what they are being charged and can compare the change they get against the receipt. In one store, there was a load of clutter in front of the cash register so it was not easy to see the the window which shows the amount that was entered if it was entered at all. There was no sign showing the price of drinks provided in the cafe section. There is a distinct lack of transparency in the Greggs buying experience . I used to think that Greggs was the best thing since sliced bread but now it is rapidly losing its appeal.

Went to Yate shop at 14.10 today they never had a single baguette in shop. Asked if they could make me a tuna crunch. Was told they had everything they need to make one but won't because we are too busy!!! Phoned customer service and they were useless. It's Gregg's policy not to make anything that's not on display between 12 and 2 ( bang on dinner time ) so not interested. Subway for us in future

i have worked for greggs for the past two years and when i first started it was brilliant. then things started to go up in price and products became worse greggs has to remember it is not costa coffee and charge 4 quid for a piece of cake but they are a cake shop and they need to start giving the customer what they want a cheap product but good quality they did it 2 years ago and can do it again. i work in a few greggs shops and you can tell the difference between branches and honestly the ones that aren't run like boot camps are best, they have the friendliest and happiest staff, the customers are more happy... well my message is management is disgraceful in some shops and needs sorting. if your teams not happy the customers are not happy either! sort it out

Ere right, it was proper throwing it down with rain and we had to walk from college to go to Greggs to get lunch, like we always do everyday. Instead of going back to college in the rain to eat (in which time the food would be cold), we decided to sit down at the tables provided at the Wakefield Bus Station Greggs. Despite the fact that we'd bought two pizzas from Greggs and we went to buy a hot chocolate so we could sit in and they still said we couldn't because the pizza's were from the other section of the same Greggs shop. She was all “sorry love” and we're like “YEAH WE DON'T CARE”. So today we went in and the cheese and tomato pizzas were covered in a different cheese. Stop that. Was well mank like. Also, there was an employee in a leather hat. Tell her to take it off, it was well offputting. It made us not want to eat there (NOT THAT WE CAN EAT IN THERE ANYWAY).

I work for greggs and i have for a few years. In my opinion yes greggs is terrible. It used to be good, but now through cost cuts they are using new (cheaper) suppliers of fillings ect..... but it just makes my job harder, i want to go to work and just do my job, yet people complain about sandwich fillings (we get told set measurments for filling sandwiches). the vat priceing (we get told about that) pastys being fatty (change of supplier, cheaper ingredients) pastys being cold (we bake for demand) if we have 2 customers on average from 9-10 mon-fri we arent going to bake all 20 varieties and 10 items of each (hot) product. some things should change but some peoples review are aimed at the staff, we are preached to every day about (company policy) and i hope that you bear that in mind, most of greggs employees just want to go to work, do their job to their best and go home.

I am fan of Greggs but was surprised today when I choked on a piece of hard silver foil that was hidden in the lemon icing of one of their cupcakes.

I enjoy Greggs Pastries & bread. I also live in France the customer service in their Boulangerie's is far superior than here. As soon as a customer walks in they say Good day and are pleasant. In Greggs they just grunt at you & never smile. Perhaps assistants should go on a customer relations course. But, this is the only Greggs I use, others may be a lot better.

when i go into greggs there never seems to be much hot foods out and if there are they are usually cold because they have been sitting for adges; So i usually just get a sandwitch which to be fair taste good and are not too pricey.
As for their coffee, god, i'm surprised i'm not dead after ddinking it. And if you think that as well then you are lucky in a way because at least you have actually had coffee. Twice i have went in and : "we're out o' cups".
customer sercice.... what customer service. I think greggs staff are trained in being masters of depression.

On the whole, Gregg's is a bit gimmicky with the products/service not equal to the promise of the adverts. You're much better off (financially & health wise) spending the 10 minutes it would take you queuing in Greggs making yourself some pack-up!

I like Greggs food but the pastries are left to long and are usually cold by the time you get them the size of everything in the bakers is decreasing while the price just increasing. I still like Greggs but they need fixed prices and the same size food as a few months ago which is bigger than lately.
