I purchased a pair of T3 Tourmaline Straighteners by Hairart from Hair Stuff Direct. At first I was happy, then I had to return them as they was faulty and stopped working after 2 months. It took a while to get a replacement as they forgot to forward them on to me! After many calls, they where exchanged and worked great for 1 month, then stopped working again I sent them back in June and I am still waiting a refund! I have emailed almost x20, I did get a reply the other day but addressed to the wrong name apologising for another error (another not so happy customer). Anyway, it's a shame because when they work they are good, but they are just not reliable like their customer services. I would recommend purchasing from a reputable well known company so if you do encounter problems, you will be assisted rather than ignored.

I Was using GHD's for a long time, and was worried about damage to my hair. I saw the reviews on reviewcentre for the T3 Mk 2's, saying they were kinder to your hair, so I bought some. I have been using them for six months, and I ended up emailing their website, as the recommended heat for fine/wavy/frizzy hair was NOT doing it. Ten minutes and I was frizzing or kinking. They suggested higher heat, I ended up at the GHD heat of 220 degrees, but my hair was still not sleek and shiny. More like straight straw. I had my hair straightened at the hairdressers last week by GHD's, and I am now converted back to my trusty fantastic GHD's. They are fab!!! If you are happy with your GHD's keep them. Don't buy T3's.

You are so right !

I have found the same to be true. My hair is quite fine and I have a lot of it.
I just dont' get the sleek, shiny look with T3 but ghd works so much better for me.

So sad when you follow the majority and it doesn't work for you hey !

T3 Tourmaline Straighteners by Hairart - I was so chuffed when I first bought the T3 Ttourmalines, they were everything I'd ever wanted, couldn't fault them! I initially bought them because I'd heard GHDs kept blowing up and this wasn't associated with the Hairart straighteners.
One morning about four months after purchase, I got up and began straightening my hair as usual and I smelt smoke, it was coming from the back of the straightener where the wires entered the back, the next thing I knew sparks were blowing out, I was almost electrocuted. When I sent them to the supplier they refused a refund and said they would only give me an exchange, but why would I want the same straightener that had just blown up in my face? Pathetic.

Hi Jay,

Just to put you right, the straighteners you purchased from hair stuff direct are cheap copies of the Hairart T3 Tourmaline straighteners.
Like many companies they try to ride on the back of success of T3 Straighteners by bringing in cheap copies from China and passing them off as "Tourmaline" straighteners.
If you look at their web site you will see they are not Hairart T3 but SCP.
Genuine t3 straighteners are only available from approved salons and web sites like www.t3hair.com
If you see a new T3 Straightener on line for less than £90 then it's either a copy or being sold by an unauthorized site in which case your warranty will be affected.
I hate to say this but in terms of Tourmaline straighteners you get what you pay for.......cheap is cheap as you've found out, but please don't confuse SCP with the genuine article.
