The Alcudia Beach Aparthotel looked great downstairs but the studio we stayed in was a different story, really does need a re-vamp. Old furnisings, dirty fridge and microwave and not very well cleaned.

Very friendly staff, they made the holiday acceptable, however the "entertainer" was a pain in the butt, he was loud, rude and arrogant. This place would be a lot better without him.

If you want a place to relax and chill this is not the place for you.
Would not return to this place.

Alcudia is a nice place, the hotel is well positioned and staff are friendly. The holiday was good value for money.
Highly recommend a trip to Pirates show. Well worth the money. Don't recommend Marineland - waste of money.
The Thomson reps gave incorrect information. We were told Marineland included free meals & drinks. You actually get a 6 euro voucher (adult) which buys you a plate of chips!! OH & that's after the bus is nearly an hour late.

★★★★☆

Ideally situated in the middle of the resort and just a 2 minute walk to the superb beach. The 'British' area is a 5 minute walk to the right and the beautiful cosmopolitan port is a 10 or so minute walk to the left. All areas of the hotel are kept spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious but could do with a little modernising.
The evening entertainment takes place in an indoor smoking area - hardly the embodiment of 'healthy' or 'pleasant' for families with children or non smokers. Most evenings the entertainment lacks imagination and with games such as pop the balloon, bingo and pass the spoon it can best be described as a trip back to the dark ages with a slight 'working men's club' atmosphere. Overall the hotel represents good value for money but if a more refined form of entertainment is your thing in the evenings, then the evenings will be best spent out and about in the resort and not at the hotel.

“The best thing about the holiday to the Alcusia Beach...”

★★★★★

written by sunnydays on 18/10/2006

The best thing about the holiday to the Alcusia Beach Aparthotel were the excursions. We had read about a company called No Frills Excursions (they had been highly recommended by other people's Internet reviews), so we asked at the reception about booking. It turned out that we could book trips with this company through the reception. The trips were excellent, just as other people had written on their reviews. We went to the Caves of Drach, and the guide was the best we've ever met - informative, friendly, professional and really good fun. The Caves themselves were rather amazing too.

The other trip we went on was Aqualand - it's worth the money just for one slide - the Bonzai. That is the scariest ride I've ever been on - including roller coasters!

The apartments were great. Much better than we were expecting; clean, modern, spacious and we had a nice view of the pool. The pool area was also very pleasant, and they had a nice sunbathing area. The staff were all friendly and professional, including the reception staff, the bar and restaurant staff and the cleaners.

The person who gave advice on this website about the breakfast for €6 for all you can eat was spot on. It was great - thanks.

The resort is one of the biggest in Spain, so there's plenty to do. We were in what they call the new town, where it's livelier and busier with a concentration of shops, bars and restaurants. It's definitely a family area, so most of the entertainment in the bars is aimed at kids - though it's easy enough to avoid if you don't have kids.

The nicest parts of the resort are the port and the old town, because they have much more character and are less touristy. The port is only a 10 - 15 minute stroll from the hotel, and you can walk along the beach, which has stunning views of the mountains around the bay.

The old town is a bit further, but it's well worth a visit. Don't go on market day (Tuesday and Sunday) because you miss a bit of the charm of the place itself. It's much better to visit the old town around 7 O'clock when the shops are still open, then you can eat at one of the very nice restaurants in the main square.

Try not to lock your key inside your room, as they won't like it. Try the morning breakfast buffet at 6 Euros each, and it is all you can eat, including cereal, fry up, toast, fruit, juices and hot beverages.

The Alcudia Beach Aparthotel is close to the beach and in a central location of town. The rooms are spacious. there are lifts for disabled people. There is evening entertainment, and the restaurant is open to all guests, including self catering. There is a pool or sea view either way, and a good bar.

Went to Alcudia Beach Aparthotel in June 2005 for 4 days, and really enjoyed it. What a beautiful place! The weather was great, and very hot. The beach is wonderful and very clean. Just couldn't find any faults at all with the apartment, and all staff were really friendly and willing to help with any requests. The pool is great with 2 levels. Good entertainment for the evening and lots for the kids.

The only downfall was my stay was not long enough, so going again for 2 weeks in August 2006. Can't wait!
