I did not have any complaints while I had my account with them (but I never had to deal with them then, I just kept my money there) but the problems occurred when I tried to transfer the cash ISA to Abbey (now Santander). Lloyds took more than 2 months to release the money (according to Santander Lloyds had kept saying that they had not received the request). When they did release the money, they sent it to the wrong account number and I only found out after another 2 months because the money was still not appearing at the Santander account. Since the end of March, they are still trying to get the money back from Santander. When I call them, they seem a little helpful but then they never call me back to update me on what's happening. Since the 4th of February 2010 I have not had access to my money and I still don't. I sent an official complaint letter as well but they've not been much more helpful than the ISA transfer team that I was dealing with before. I would not recommend Lloyds (nor Santander - see my review for Santander (Abbey) as well) because of the poor customer service especially now that they are offering low interest rates as well.

These days you can get much better rates (Eg - Alliance & Leicester). Lloyds offer very slow access to your money (by writing to them only), whereas Alliance & Leicester - not only offer better rates, but also offer internet banking for ISA.
