Recently ordered some bedding to be despatched to us in Australia. Goods were reasonably priced, delivered within the quoted time frame and in good condition. Very pleased with our experience

I love everything about john lewis. The store layout is great and what they sell is only the best quality, and the staff are first class. I couldn't ask for anything more. Don't over expand though.

Dealing with this company is always hassle free. Deliveries arrive on time, products are as advertised, staff are polite and professional. If anything does go wrong they are always quick to put it right. What are contrast John Lewis is compared to dealing with very.co.uk - a hateful company.

The gripes are that the online store insists on showing out of stock orders (even when I choose to not see them), and they do not issue special orders outside of the UK. On the positive side, I have found the customer service department to generally be responsive, helpful and keen to please. I am impressed with the JL policies and staff and would heartily recommend them, especially for international customers where service/response is key.

I ordered bridesmaid dresses and accessories and it was it was great experience for me. I could have made life easier for myself though....all the items went into the sale a few days later - so I reordered the same in the sale and returned the full price items for a refund. When I phoned John Lewis they said I should have called and they would have refunded the difference to save the extra work I created for myself. I thought that was quite good!! No problems with ordering or returns...actually one refund didn't appear so I rang customer services and they applied the refund straight away! I've knocked off 1 star for having to ring them for that missing refund, otherwise a positive shopping experience.

I've always used John Lewis Newcastle and can honestly say, they are the best in my eyes! Every time I go there I always end up buying something new, I'm always happy with my purchases, and if ever there's a problem JL are quick to resolve any issues! I'm a happy JL customer and will be back for sure!

I usd the click and collect to get my wife's Xmas present. We don't have a JL Store but we do have a Waitrose so I arranged for it to be sent there. I was told by email that it would arrive after 2pm the following day. The next day I recieved a text at 11.30am too say it had been delievered to my local Waitrose. I popped in and collected it, no problems at all, the whole process was very smooth and would definately use again.

I have used John Lewis several times in the last few months for internet purchases and found them very good. Unlike many on line retailers they do what they promise, and are contactable when you have questions. I think these guys have their business well organised.

I find shopping at John Lewis a good experience generally. The staff are always clued up on the products and very helpful. It makes a real change from part timers on high street stores. I usually come away from JL feeling that i have been treated like a valued customer and I have peace of mind that I can reurn the goods if there's a problem or if I find them cheaper elsewhere.

I received the picture in about 1000 pieces, and the help from the delivery firm HDL was worse than useless and because they insisted they had tried to deliver the product the previous evening at 9.06pm, which they hadn't I was forced to phone them on a PREMIUM TELEPHONE line thus incurring an additional unnecessary cost. WHY????? The following day I returned the broken picture to the Kingston branch where the service of the staff in the picture department was exemplary , I was allowed to purchased the display picture plus given complimentary car parking. Well done John Lewis, but please sort out your delivery agents

I recently bought the medela pump in style maclaren pushchair from john lewis. I had searched for this chair for a while and eventually found it discounted at John Lewis shop. The chair was fairly easy to use, and pretty quick to assemble. I received good feedback from the sales assistant. They seemed to hold these products in stock which was important for me as I was due pretty soon. overall i am happy with John lewis price and service. i guess i could have found this push chair cheaper elsewhere but i would rather feel, check the weight and drive it and ensure that it is confortable for my baby. Online shops might not be such a good idea for such an item although cheaper. Overall John Lewis's sales assistant seemed to be knowlegable.

On taking delivery of the Fridge freezer I asked the delivery men (John Lewis) ones with John Lewis van (I know sounds daft but when ordered the item in store was told it would be a courier co but not sure which). So pleased when JL men turned up. Had a delivery a couple of years ago and the JL men were great.
Asked for the packaging to come off the item (frdige freezer) but was told they didn't do that. Asked if I needed to sign anything as wouldn't be able to as couldn't see the item to make sure it was ok, told, 'no problems if anything wrong will just replace'.
So am now left with a big fridge freezer in a massive cardboard container (only 5ft 1) so a few problems. Have to wait until husband gets home late tonight.
Phoned the JL store and told yes they should have taken the packing off and taken it away.
Is this the case of it being a Friday afternoon and they couldn't be bothered?
John Lewis is certainly going down hill in my eyes.
Am now awaiting the store to contact the delivery men to see what they can do? If they had done the job properly in the first place well, I would only praise them but as not, can sadly say that JL is lacking in putting its own customers first.

Shop is good but the Cafe coffee was awful and the toilets smelt bad. Service staff are excellent. Cafe staff are good and tried hard to please. Food a little expensive but satisfactory.

I ordered the Acacia Bed Tray from John Lewis Online. The item arrived within a few days. But was delivered at 7.15pm - smashed to pieces. [I would suggest John Lewis review the courier service they use]. When I phoned customer services and explained the situation, they immediately offered me a full refund PLUS £10 as a good will gesture [I refused a replacement]. I was told to bucket the 'smashed to smithereens' Bed Tray.
Having dealt with many companies when ordering online, I have to say I was most impressed with John Lewis customer services. They resolved my problem quickly and efficiently, with no aggravation incurred on my part.
*And my refund was in my account 2 days later. :o)

I bought 60 quid worth of Bobbi Brown makeup and brushes on the John Lewis website, with free delivery. The delivery took forever, after about 8 days of no show I phoned up John Lewis and was told that a substitute order had been created free of charge and this arrived the next day. The original order did turn up a few days later. Now I have a duplicate set of makeup out of goodwill and this demonstrates to me that John Lewis will go out of their way to please a customer and resolve issues, and the service is therefore way over my expecations, especially given the bad reviews here. I would without a doubt recommend the online store.

We recently had to use customer services to return a faulty Topfield Freeview Digital recorder. The staff were prompt and helpful via both email and phone.
John Lewis online and department stores are different and although I had ordered the goods online, rather than dictate to me how they resolve faulty goods issues, they accepted my suggestion to take the goods back to a nearby store and even arranged to reserve the replacement item for me. This is great customer service which would obviously have me shop with them again. If only other customer services departments could show the same level of committment.

Generally superb. Will match other prices in the vicinity. Customer services is outstanding. Many other stores should look at their Customer services.
