Skys prices have imporoved recently and they have a good selection of programmes now, so I think its worth the price as satellite tv does have the widest choice of channels.

At the moment I am with virgin media but only because they offered me 6 months half price broadband. Before that I had 12 months with sky. I had been with sky since the start and always had good rapport with customer service. over the years I swapped and changed due to cost cutting in the home. In july I will be looking at going back to sky especially if they offer me half price on everything for 12 mths. they did during nov and dec.
they do offer better tv and the only downside is when the box is 12 mths old they expect you to pay to get it fixed.

After years of struggling along with Freeview I finally decided to move across to Sky TV in my new home, partly because the signal was dreadful in our block and partly to benefit from services like the 'free' broadband and Sky+.
Getting Sky installed was relatively pain-free and within 10 days we had the Sky+ box working in our flat. The only issue with the installation was that the engineer didn't set the Sky remote to work with my TV but we've since sorted that out.
We only have the basic packages with the Entertainment Pack but we're not big TV watchers and don't need 500 channels of utter rubbish or kiddies shows.
Sky Plus is the best part of the package. Recording programmes and particularly the series link are absolute god sends for the few programmes I do want to watch regularly, particularly given I'm always out and about.
The only issue I have is that you can only watch or record two channels at once so we do have a few clashes every now and again.

I am generally pleased with sky + but not happy with rep for not pointing out warranty limitations/ fees etc. But I should have read the small print. I never learn!

I've been with Sky since about April and so far so so good. When I first joined I was a bit worried because little did I know that you had to be at least 18 to subscribe to their services (I was 17 at the time), there was nothing on their website about having to be at least 18, I'd provided my real date of birth upon signing up and yet they still allowed me to subscribe. It was only when I had to ring customer services about something soon after that I found out, luckily I got away with it anyway but they should of told me in the first place. Aside from that, I can't say I've had any real problem with them. I do find it annoying how the signal is sometimes a bit rubbish due to a light shower or whatever, but it's usually great. Their customer services are good although it would help if they'd base them within the UK. I often hear people complaining about Sky being too expensive but I only pay £15 a month for their basic package and I'm more than with that. You may as well pay this small small fee rather than get Free view IMHO.
Any one who, enough rambling. All in all a good service from my experience so far and I would certainly recommend to a friend.

Once you get Sky + it would be hard to go back to normal TV because you get used to being able to record, rewind and pause live TV. It is amazing how far TV has come from those days when we just had five channels.

Sky Digital TV has brilliant picture and sound quality. The box is very fast and responsive, unlike NTL. Also, the customer service is fantastic, unlike NTL. I had a very bad time with NTL. They have extremely poor customer service, and they don't seem to value their customers at all, so I was pleasantly surprised by Sky. I am so impressed by the service, that I now intend to get Sky Broadband.

We get a good quality picture from Sky Digital TV, as the picture used to jump every day with NTL TV.
I have not had any issues with customer services as yet.
The monthly magazine is useful.

When you get to enjoy the magnificient pleasures of Sky's 'Customer Service' you may want to rewrite your review.
