I dont understand the negative reviews on this product I have 2 pomeranians & believe me they are fussy eaters but I recently tried Bakers through a free sample and they quite literally cleaned their bowls! Initially thought, yeah, just another brand that they wont eat but they loved it for real! Shocked is an understatment! This works out better for me as I usually end up throwing some of their food away to replace with fresh stuff, so for me I find it cost effective! The small meaty chunks in it seem a particular favourite and were the first to go. Usually they pick out one piece of food at a time & take it to the mat to eat but with tis they stood and cleaned the lot! I'm impressed as I've tried every other food out there, think I'll be sticking with this from now on! #Bikerbabe #freebie

I have a 5 year old jack Russell I had been giving her all kinds of meat and she was turning her nose up to what was put down to her. I then went to the shops and got her a box of meaty balls and she scoffed them all up right away. I was told by my vet not to give her bakers as she has a sin alergy. There is no way I am changing her food her toilet is good and she loves them. She does drink more water but that is to be expected.

I had my jack russel dog on everything from pedigree chum ceased, well beloved weinrights deli also butchers and Lily's kitchen she was turning her nose up to Lily's kitchen so I went to the shops and got a packet of bakers meaty balls and she has been eating them for mor than a year and a half. I put them down to her and she scoffs them right away. She is 5/half.i give her the beef meaty balls and I am going to try her on the lamb.

I started my dog on bakers puppy and now she is on normal bakers complete she has grown to be a great healthy dog this product I believe is very good It may not be right for all dogs but I would not use anything else my dog loves it she is not hyperactive or naughty she is a perfect dog I can see a lot of negative comments about this but I have had no problem with this at all All I would say is try your dog on it and if you find them becoming hyperactive or naughty and they are having stool problems then take them off it and try something else

It's been a great diet for her, used in measured amounts and fed twice per day. Make sure your dog always has plenty of fresh water and don't give too many treats. In addition to regular health checks etc and lots of love and exercise. The negative reviews seem to relate to possible other problems or secondary issues. There is a lot of choice out there and a lot of money to be made, so beware of unproven hypes relating to 'all in one' foods. I am currently comparing for a food that will help with her joints and am discovering that there is little research or proof that some of the supplements actually do help. Most of the foods contain similar quantities of the supplements yet the prices vary enormously - so beware. We have found that giving her extra supplements seems to be doing the trick and Omega-3 is the only one that appears to have any solid research attached to it. At the end of the day she is getting old and has never had problems with Bakers (had the Senior since she was 7) so I am not likely to change her diet at this stage of her life.

Our dog is 3 years old and has been fed on bakers complete since he was 10 wks old.Vet says hes very healthy, hes fullof energy, shiny coat, good skin and claws.sleeps well and has no digestion problems.so therefore by personal experience i would reccomend it to anyone.i also feed him tinned pedigree chum, purely because he enjoys it.

I respectfully suggest you carefully look at the ingredient list and do a 'google' on all the ingredients listed. Until you do this, like 99% of people, you will not understand what the ingredients actually are. The reason for this is that most pet food manufacturers do not want you to understand what goes into their pet food. Once you understand what goes into to pet food and what animal derivatives' etc are, I very much doubt that you will want to carry on feeding this to your dog.

poor dog... please read the ingredients list, and look up the 'e' numbers on the internet to see what damage they can cause. often the effects may not be seen till the dog is older, skin tumors etc, but by then it can be too late. just because he enjoys it, does not mean its good. most children would enjoy a diet of sweets and burgers, but they should not be given it.

I have used Bakers Complete Dog Food for over 10 years now with my Bearded Collie and now with my Boarder Collie both of which love it. Not sure about most of these other comment slating this food but each to their own I suppose. I've never noticed any of my dogs being anymore hyperactive than their breed would suggest. I used the senior for my Beardie in his latter days which helped enormously with his digestion and the fact he lived till he was 16 tells me their aint much wrong with this food.

i have three old English mastiffs which weigh between them 37 stone, my vet recommended this food due to having every thing in it you need to keep your dog healthy. but did tell me off for feeding the dogs with other foods such as meat as it up sets the balance in the dog. i find it to be perfect and good for the coat as well as the well being of the dog, so if some find it not to their likening it could be the owner not the food. bakers 100/00 IF YOU FEED IT AS IT SAYS ON THE BAG? i find it works for my dogs with no problems at all.

If your vet advised feeding only Bakers then he is incompetent and irresponsible. Bakers like all other commercial dog foods are of minimal nutritional value, in essence your slowly killing your dog and increasing the chances of cancer, skin complaints, ear infections etc etc Dogs all originate from Wolves, wolves eat a mix of raw meat, bones, fruits and vegetables and so should your dog. Switch to a BARF diet see link and notice the improvement in your dog after just a few weeks.

I have fed both my dogs Bakers Complete Dog Food for 14 years and have just got another puppy and am definitely going to continue to use it as I have not had any problems with it. Idris is a 14 yr old Springer Spaniel, Jess is a 13 yr old Jack russel and Scruffy is a 3 month old Collie. I don't understand some of these reviews.

Its simple really.
If you dont beleive or understand the reviews thats fine.
Sit down with a bag of Bakers and read the ingredients, and think about it.
If you have any degree of common sense you will then understand.
The key is the ingredients list and thats all there is to it.
Facts are facts.

All dogs are different, all of mine love Bakers complete right from puppies, why not let every dog try it rather than slate it right from the start?? All dogs like different things or they wouldn't all have their own charaters they would all be like robots, rather than reading everyone elses opinion buy a small pack and let your dog find out if he/she likes it or not?
Written on: 04/09/2011
the reason people come on here and 'slate' the product is because they are trying to do the decent thing and warn people like you!
Of course the dogs will like it! It is made palatable to make them want to eat it. But the dogs know no better.
I like the taste of McDonalds, but if I ate it every day I'd be in a lot of trouble. I know better so I dont eat it everyday.
You are meant to be the one who knows better--for your dog.
Bottom Line, The ingredients are rubbish and detrimental to your dogs health.
Would you feed your kids mcdonalds every day because they like it? NO.

My dog loves Bakers Complete - the food and the treats and chewies. He was always really fussy, but he loves this, and for the first time Benjy loves his dinner time!
I know it's got everything in it that he needs - and you can tell by looking at his lovely coat and overall condition that it is really good for him - people are always commenting on how good he looks.

Bakers Complete Dog Food is the ideal food for any dog who can't eat moit food with it just shooting through their system as my dog suffers from that problem, my dog absolutely loves the stuff and sometimes we have to take the bowl away from him incase he chokes himself and after 10 mins of giving him the food you just see mainly the little green bits of veg either in the bowl or decorating the floor the silly sausage.

Pity Bakers Complete is such a junk food, as it has lots of sugars and artificial colours. Dogs would love a MacDonald's every day, but it wouldn't be any good for them! We owe it to our dogs to give them healthy food - they can't choose it for themselves.

Bakers Complete Dog Food is a great product with good value for money, easily measurable,no mess, easy clean waste. Often on special offer at supermarkets (£1.07/kg), faultless.

Now, when I first tried Bakers Complete I had my doubts. Firstly, I'm a human and so when someone offers me to eat the food of a dog, naturally I'd be a little suspicious. Despite this, being the man of the world that I am and seeing a picture of Chas on the front, I slobbered my way through an entire bowl and never looked back once. Since then I've been addicted to Bakers Complete, my coat is shinier than ever and I'm even starting to look like Chas himself. Thank you Bakers complete for making this fairytale possible.

Bakers Complete has been perfect for my puppy after trying several dog food, including both tins and boxes. This food has been the only one to keep the dog in a healthy condtion. Being a puppy, he had very delicate stomach and the Bakers Complete has just been perfect.

These are ten of the E numbers in Bakers. So continue poisoning your dog!
E320 - has been found to be tumour-producing when fed to rats. In human studies it has been linked with urticaria, angioedema and asthma
E321 - banned for use in food in Japan, Romania, Sweden, and Australia. The US has barred it from being ...used in infant foods. So bad McDonalds have voluntarily eliminated it from their products.
E310 - Banned from children's foods in the US because it is thought to cause the blood disorder methemoglobinemia
E172 - Banned in Germany
E132 - Can cause skin sensitivity, a rash similar to nettle rash, itching, nausea, high blood pressure and breathing problems. One of the colours that the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommends be eliminated from the diet of children. Banned in Norway.
E102 - TARTRAZINE - A trial on 76 children diagnosed as hyperactive, showed that tartrazine provoked abnormal behaviour patterns in 79% of them
E110 - Sunset Yellow has been found to damage kidneys and adrenals when fed to laboratory rats. It has also been found to be carcinogenic when fed to animals
E104 - One of the colours that the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommends be eliminated from the diet of children. Banned in Australia, Japan, Norway and the United States.
E171 - Banned in Germany
E153 - Banned as a food additive in the United States of America. Suspected as a carcinogenic agent.
