I booked a weekend break for myself and my girlfriend-what a mistake!

1. Made a slight mistake when booking the flights and it took 10 emails, four calls and loads of BS to sort out-depsite me informing them of the mistake within 10mins of making my booking. A week after it was "all sorted" they sent my flight and hotel e-tickets and the info was still wrong-more calls and emails!

2. I then had to ring the hotel and the airline to confirm that Mytravel had ammended the details as requested-because they couldn't be bothered!

3. The flights they book you are HAND LUGGAGE ONLY!!!! I was shocked to find this out as no mention was made when I was booking the flights. I only noticed this when my e-ticket came through! I spoke to them AGAIN and was told "its on page 10 of our terms and conditions"! Hardly clear.

I booked a trip for 8 guys on a stag party with less hassle than this (expedia) and now wish I'd used them again!

DO NOT USE MYTRAVEL UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTION!!!!

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!

Used this airline June 2007. Overall this airline is quite good however seat pitch is a sticking point. I could not stretch my legs out I had to upgrade on our return flight from Florida Sanford to Manchester to premium economy which was brilliant with a 35 inch seat pitch at a good price. The meal was tasty. I would bring sandwiches as I was hungry when I arrived in Florida, the plane was a A330-200 with seat back television screens with the latest movies which you need on a 9 hour flight. I had to pay for drinks buy water at Manchester airport and save a few pounds.

Hope that everything goes well, because if it does not, they may not be there to assist you like they havnt with me. Make sure you have insurance. Dont recommend My Travel.

In the last 2 or 3 years it's getting normal to see timesharing people going to other hotels with reps from First Choice and My Travel in the welcome meetings with permission/agreement of these travel agency's?? (local office?)?.

Most guests get the idea of being a way of the travel agents to show other hotels where they have business but some complain that they where not expecting to have this situation when they book with a travel agent.

This is all very strange because if they buy timeshare they will not need the travel agent again and they will not go back to those hotels where they stayed before.

Strange business.

Reception staff in most places don't talk about this because they don't know whats happening or they don't want to get in trouble???

The sales team from My Travel talked a good story when taking the original booking, but when we ran into problems they did not want to know. When we complained it was clear they saw us as small fry. I would never use them directly again, and not even if they were free!

I have booked my holidays with MyTravel for the last couple of years and I have always received a good deal. This company is always running one special offer or another, and there is usually a deal to be found somewhere on the site. The customer service I have received, has always been good, and I haven't been disappointed with any of the holidays I've been on. The site is clear and easy to use, and all the descriptions are accurate and easy to read - I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a holiday.
