Purchased a pair of knee high boots .had a voucher for 20% off if you spend over £20 boots were just what I wanted staff at the check out very friendly. As I left the store in cardiff I bleeper went off I felt a little embarrassed by this .I was asked to show my recept which I did I also asked how this security man happened. The security man said this often happens . A lady member of staff who came to my rescue took my boots and had then put through security again ..as she waved the boots through the door way the buzzer went off for the second time . The lady appologised . By this time I had had enough and asked to speak with the manager on duty . However I was offered a further 10% off for the inconvenience I had been through which I accepted as I realy liked my new boots. I will shop there again the two ladies who handled the situation were very good and appreciated the inconvenience I had been put throw thank you both (cardiff materlan) ps the security man informed me if I wore the boots this will stop the buzzer going off the other shops . Dont know what planet hes on

Hi, I received some vouchers in the post, noticing quickly 25per cent off accessories! Great, as I was looking for some new costume jewellery, I set off down to your Aberdeen store, picked up a necklace that seemed suitable for my new outfit. made my way to the checkout, I presented my matalan card and GREAT Voucher, the asst. Firstly told me it was single use only, yes I said that's OK.Then she quickly took off and discussed my voucher with a colleague, came back, and announced it was for MEN ONLY!!! Oh, my first thought, a slight case of discrimination!!! As I brought this to the attention of the asst. She quickly jumped to your defence, saying not really, we send out lots of vouchers.eye etc... As a manager in retail myself, personally I would have granted the 25 per cent off regardless, in a bid to keep good relations. I then left the store feeling slightly disgruntled. I carried on up the town to do more shopping, soon finding an alternative to the item purchased in metal an, on my journey home I returned my item to matalan, and had it refunded.Had the situation been handled better, I probably would not have gone looking for something better. Although I must thankyou, because at the end of the day it turned out that the necklace from matalan. Was just TAT!!!

I used to really like matalan clothes but just lately I have found the sizing terrible.bras both women's and girls are approximately one size smaller fit where they touch my 11 yr old has had to buy 13 yrs and generally wears 10 to 11 yrs armholes are tiny size 8 ladies seem to need at least a 12. I have been in store three times this week exchanging ill fitting clothes and now have to return a bra it's getting embarrassing .i don't actually think I will bother buying from matalan again going to throw away my card .value for money good if clothes fitted properly.yhis is not the only time I have had to change ill fitting garments. Disappointed matalan.

I wasn't able to find the items I wanted in the Sovereign Retail Park, Eastbourne store, so I went home and looked online. If I spent more than £50 I would get free delivery. The items I wanted came to more than £50, but surprise, surprise only one item was available, so what do I do? Do I order it and pay delivery charge? No. I decided to wait for the other item to come in, as they promised it would. When it did, I went to order both items and surprise, surprise, the other item was out of stock. I give up. They also seem to have got a lot more expensive in the last couple of years, since they took over Falmers. I will say that the staff at the store have always been friendly and helpful, so I have no complaints there.

All I wanted to do was order an item online and have it delivered to my local store. Clicked buttons for choose your area and all I got was Scotland. Thinking the site had a problem, tried ringing Matalan to try to order. What a laugh, hanging on for ages, then being told to ring back later as too busy, what with more queries about store collections shouldn't wonder?! Tried again online. Same response from choose you area. In the end tried the HELP section and THAT mentioned that only stores in Scotland were using click and collect! What a waste of my time - WHY ON EARTH don't they state 'Scotland Only' where you click to select store. Seems SOOOO simple. PLUS have you noticed there is NO complaint button to press? or department to contact. Just a WASTE of time for sure. Even this site is really for purchases but just so frustrating am doing it anyway.
