Overall a good store. Everything is cheap, quality is fine often great, good enough choice. I was so excited to find it. However, was very disappointed, when tried to get a price difference on an item that scanned at a wrong price. I bought 37$ worth of groceries. I used a 5$ off 30$ store coupon. I bought 2 packs of breakfast sausages. they were on sale for 1.99$ but scanned wrong at a full price 2.49$ btw, it happens to me often at Lidl. so I paid 5$ instead of 4$. I paid 1$ more. If everything was scanned correctly I would never pay that dollar. My total bill would be not 37$ , but 36$ I would still use my 5$ off 30$ coupon. There system made a mistake, so they charged me 1$ more then should. It happens often at other stores too. But I NEVER had any problem to get the price difference or return an item for a full refund. However, at Lidl it was not easy to get that 1$ difference back!!!!! They insisted that I can get only 26 cents back. When I tried to return the sausages, they could only give me 4.25$ back, not the 5$ I paid!!!! they said, because I used the 5$ off 30$ coupon, I already got a discount on the item. I had no luck trying to explain, that my total bill would be a dollar less if there system did not make a price mistake. 5$ off coupon is supposed to be a discount, not a coverage of their mistake. It is not about 1$, it is about absurd, where a costumer has to be responsible for the store mistake!!!! I can not recommend this store to a friend, it is not OK when a customer can not guarantee to get the price difference or return an item that they just bought, for a full refund.

In Spain, this supermarket is a good supermarket when you want buy yogurt, ice cream, bread, but I don´t like the fish, meat, and it doesn´t have staff cutting ham, cheese,... I love their yogurt. This supermarket is very bigger and your attention is well. Every week this supermarket in their website to post a lot of offers. I bought a milk carton, but I break the carton but I drink a cup of milk, the milk was sour milk. The articles price its very cheap, you don´t have much money, you can buy a lot of articles.

Today I went to do some shopping. When I was picking my bread I saw a baguette on the floor. A man picked it up and handed it to a member of staff. When he had gone round the corner the woman put it back onto the shelf with all the other breads. This was not good at all and makes people loose trust in buying the bread from that shop. This does not put my faith in the shop and I would think twice about buying bread from their again.

I was unfortunate to park at LIDL Francis Street Luton for 1 hour and 40 minutes and was fined £90 because only 90 minutes is allowed. This is a new development at this site and should have been advertised in large letters at the entrance to the store. I heard from another customer that similar schemes operate at other LIDL stores so I want everyone to be vigilant when parking at Lidl because with the fine shopping at Lidl is the most expensive in the UK high street.I will certainly never shop at any Lidl again.

I am just pasting in my latest communication to the CEO " I say more, it is actually the second item bought that has food safety issues. The product is Milbona Natural Yoghurt 500 gramme. Use by date 12.01.17, unopened and kept at the top of our fridge. I cannot see a batch number. Has you can see from the photos the product is seriously fermenting, and is likely to blow soon. Product would cause serious illness to a baby. Product fault could be caused by 1 The actual manufacturing process or too high a temperature during shipping 2 Being stuck is aisles for a prolonged period of time, prior to being put in chill cabinets. I have noticed chilled product in aisles, simply because staff are being called away to attend tills. I have noticed lapses of an hour, when I once left and came back to Lidl. My last complaint was about out of date yoghurt being sold. Might I suggest that all staff have an eyesight test. Might be a case of " fastest till operator of the month, but the number of times that I have to go back to the checkout because a 30% discount as not been applied. "

Lidl was a great choice for me to buy cheap products. Most products here were of good value, their own brand products were tasty, so I liked some of them even more than similar products from more expensive brands. My favorite bread for breakfast came also from Lidl. But in the last months something is happening here… The taste is not always the same, I can´t find good fruit anymore, and the price has increased. I used to find here good quality for reasonable prices. I probably still would recommend it, but I´m waiting for a change.

I visited Lidl and was impressed with the low prices but unimpressed with the limited selection of own brand goods.

My friend recommended this product to me. He told me the wine was very reasonable as well. I will use this company from now on.

On display at my local Lidl store today yellow-green mottled cucumbers ugly diseased things like last week when I complained. The manager said that he had phoned head office only to be told that they were perfectly all right if they were straight and firm - it was the type. As a former fruit and veg buyer for a supermarket firm I want to know what variety of cucumbers exhibit such awful characteristics ?

I pop in to lidl but I find a lot of their products are not that great. I much prefer Aldi. Been over charged twice in lidl, once bought an orchid for £6.99 got charged £9.99 at till. Was relieved to notice but they were not apologetic.

I found it generally a good shop. However some of the staff are very rude, they won't speak to you or even pass the time of day. Those that do ask you to remove your items from the box you have them in, for no apparent reason. I am not a thief and do not wish to be treated as one, besides if they check in every item they find in the box why must they ask me to do it myself, surely if I was stealing anything they would find it when they emptied the box! I am really not happy with their service, its too cost-cutting.

What is the purpose of the Lidl website other than advertising their products ? There is no way to either contact by either email or telephone on their site. Today I went to my local to try to buy one of the car covers (available from today). Alas there were none left ! I travelled to the nearest alternative store with the same result ! With a \"contact us\" section on their site, this would be of great assistance for any others in the same predicament.

I used to go to Lidels Sidcup to get extra strong rubbish bags and then I did the rest of my shopping there, because it was easier than going elsewhere.
Even though this meant coping with the inconvenience of their checkout arrangement. However now they don't stock the strong black bags, it's back to Tesco and their sensible checkout for me.

Their Germany stores are better, with a better choice of products and friendlier staff.
Lidl could change the cold meats range from time to time, and get rid of that rubbish English food. You can get that anywhere else in the UK.

Like other customers, I go to Lidl first, and then I go on to Sainsburys or Waitrose to finish off. Nearly all of the Lidl products which I have tried are of excellent quality and to my taste.

I have never shopped at Lidl. I always look down and through my nose on this company and its patrons. I have a sort of friend who shops here, and I always give him a bit of a "ribbing". I say to him do you buy your bread and stuff from here as well, and he replies "yes". I comment "I bet you have to run home with it or it will be stale by the time you get it home". Thereby implying that the products from this store are of a low quality in a jovial manner. I really should try this store before I cast aspersions though.
