I absolutely used to love Jane Norman!! I found there jeans comfy and very nice fitting. I never shopped anywhere else once I found my jeans heaven!! Yes They were bit expensive but worth every penny Up until a year or so ago.... Went online no bootcut in my length I'm a size 10 length 30,I saw all the jeans I loved but non in my length I went to the local shop non there only skinny jeans. Or bootcut in Med/long and none in short!....also lack of colour choice I was looking for light stonewash jeans in bootcut,.I don't understand why cut out jeans for us small women and choice? . Since then my local shop has closed and online dont stock short bootcut anymore! This was my faviourite shop, very sad it has gone down hill, still has lovely clothes, but it was amazing no now just Really dissapointing!!

Very poor customer handling. I bought a dress from my wife and gave for alteration. I was promised a date at the time of purchase and even after a couple of days later i have not received it. I am waiting at the store as of now. Feeling very bad as the store executives are so rude. I was told to wait or come back again. "What can i do attitude". This is my third round at the store. Never coming back to jane norman EVER. POOR POOR POOR

I have recently returned an item with proof of postage and I have been refused a refund because Jane Norman claimed they did not receive it. The response I received was lazy and unhelpful. Shops with good customer service will refund the customer an item as long as proof of postage is provided. Do not shop from here unless you're prepared to deal with terrible customer service.

very happy, lovely clothing..so much choice. only problem is the sizes in store and on-line run out very quickly! maybe something worth focusing on. major disappointment to see stunning clothes out of your size. be nice to see improvements but besides that would highly recommend!!!

First time I wrote to Jane Norman with a request to provide me Returns Department contact details. I've got my well going online business and I am planning to open second hand shop with Jane Norman clothing only. Totally I have contacted them 3 times, no reply yes or no, just complete ignorance. Still waiting... Has written a complaint about this excellent service, I hope one day I will receive a response.

I was thinking of shopping online for Jane Norman clothes as we don't have these stores in Australia and the clothing looks nice but I am SO GLAD I read these reviews. I think I'll give it a miss!

Jane Norman was the ONLY shop I bought clothes from they were stylish, classy and a little sexy but ever since they were taken over they've gone down hill. The material seems cheaper and they're basically a bit trampy now. They're just trading on the name now. Gutted I have to find somewhere new to shop.

I also used to shop at Jane Norman regularly and sometimes had to force myself to walk by as I knew I would end up buying something. Obviously not such a problem now as the Scottish branches have closed but I did consider buying from their online shop as have done before. However, that was until my last purchase of jeans. Firstly, I bought them in 2 colours. I assumed that they would both be the same as they were same style and size only different colours. However the black ones were ok and the blue ones would have to have been sprayed on. Took them back a couple of days later and after a bit of a carry on which involved contacting online customer service etc I was eventually offered only an exchange as I couldn't find my receipt (which I found again later) but all tags etc were still on (takes a breath). So, I have jeans in my wardrobe bought from Jane Norman YEARS ago which I still haul on occasionally as they are still ok albeit a bit character faded etc. However, these new ones I have worn and washed maybe 3 or 4 times and the black ones look like I've wash them 100 times. Faded to grey! the blue ones dye my legs and anything I sit on so has put me off wearing them too! Just a blooming disaster. I now bypass them in my wardrobe and opt for older ones. Just a waste of money.

I have been a great fan of Jane norman.I would shop weekly and have a few items today in my wardrobe that I havnt even wore yet but loved them at the time so purchased them. My daughter decided to buy me a top for christmas. She bought it in november when she saw it to avoid disappointment. She explained it was for christmas so received a gift receipt.Unfortunately the fit wasnt perfect so I decided to return it.Couldnt find anything else I liked as the quality and designs have changed incredibly so I asked for a refund. I couldnt have a refund as the date of purchase was 23 Nov so a refund is only within 28 days. As this was a present with the receipts and returned in saleable condition I thought it would be 28 days from christmas but clearly not.I could only have an exchange or credit note.As for an exchange there was nothing so now I have no new clothing only a credit which is no good as stock is awful. My daughter and I are very disappointed so I will never shop in there again.

a few years ago i used to love jane norman, used to buy from them all the time and the majority of my clothes were from jane norman. but these days i rarely even go into the shop. on the very rare occasion that i do decide to pop in and look around the shop is a complete mess with clothing prices labelled wrong and i never find anything i like or of decent quality. just before christmas i was browsing the website and for the first time in along time i came across something i really liked. i placed my order and expected my order in 3-5 working days. till this day i have still not recieved my order. I've sent them email after email and still nothing they haven't even bothered to reply. this is the last time i ever shop in jane norman and if i do i'll be ordering through house of fraser who got my order to me in three days!

I had the same experience... they ignore emails from loyal customers - customer service standards are way below competitors! Also, they claim to have discounts to lure you to their website but the discounts are never applied at checkout! Shame, as they used to have lovely clothes - the designs are going downhill too ...

The choice and quality are in no way close what they used to be, when they started charging for returns it all went down the pan after that. I will have a look in the shop occasionly but its been a long time since I've been tempted to buy. Shame really I used to have loads off them Linda

I used to love Jane Norman, I would shop in there every week but not anymore. The quality of their clothes has really gone down hill. I'm fed up with taking things back for having holes in, buttons falling off and just general poor quality. I ordered a black dress last week online, when I received it I was shocked because I found 7 holes, 2 of them were big enough to fit 2 fingers through, how they didnt notice it when sending it out to me I do not know. I also think its disgusting how they make you pay to return faulty goods.... I also purchased a bag and within one week the popper button fell out, my list goes on forever so im staying away from Jane Norman now! Shame, as I used to love it.

I used to LOVE jane norman, it was my favoroite shop of all time. However, since it has become Jane Norman london, the tailoring seems to have really messed up. I bought a gorgeous white coat that they are selling at the moment in a size 14, and clearly no research has been done into what sort of shape and size a size 14 person is. Not only am i a little chubby, hence the 14, I also have a large frame. This coat has its measurements all wrong, and I know people are different shapes, but I dont see this fitting anyone well. As usual with jane norman nowadays, there are angled shoulders to this coat, which I can deal with, however if you wear the coat so the shoulders of the coat sit on your shoulders, the bottom of the arm holes come far too low, as if they expect me to have arms the same size as around a size 20 something woman! the bottom of the arm holes hang several inches below my 34E boobs! The shoulder width is also far too wide (I am am broad shouldered) so basically the coat looks great, but if I dare move my arms the whole coat shoots up past my ears, which looks ridiculous. I will be taking it to a tailor next weekend, as I do love the coat, however if they decide they are unable to fix this then I will be returning it. Im not sure whether massively incorrect tailoring is just for larger sizes (by larger I don't really mean very large, from 14 up), but I'm am genuinely really confused about how they go about deciding what measurements to use..... As I said, I am less angry about this (I have returned many items due to poor tailoring since jane norman switched hands) but more confused about what the heck they are doing...... I really do not understand why they are making gorgeous clothes that simply wont fit most people!

I totally agree with you! normaly i fit a S/M but with jane norman i ABSOLUTLY can't. Jane norman has beautifull clothes but the making it for skinny un-real model girls..
one thing that annoying me is that they always use the perfect flawless models to promote there clothes, come on! use normal girls who look like a real person

I made an order online with Jane Norman and they sent the wrong item. I tried to call them but there isn't a contact telephone number and you can only contact via email. I emailed twice in a day to 2 different email addresses, one on the paperwork in the parcel and one that I found online, NO RESPONSE whatsoever, not even a standard confirmation email! I have searched online to find out what to do if they send the wrong item and they tell you to either return it to the store for a refund or return the item by post at my expense! What about getting the item I ordered in the first place out to me?! Awful service, dont use!

omg!! i went to the harlow branch yesterday. i found an evening clutch bag marked as £5.50 and when she put it through the till it came up as £14. I pointed out the tag to the girl at he till and she said that it was the wrong price. I explained that I picked up the bag/clutch thinking it was £5.50 and decided to buy it at that price. She called the assistant manager who had no customer skills and was extremely rude and basically told me to either like it or lump it. I was so annoyed and dissapointed. I will never walk into jane norman again and they deserve to go into administration! I hope they never find a buyer and go down!

Wow, how shocking that you can say you hope EVERY person from EVERY jane norman store and their head office loses their job over the one bad experience you had! I sincerely hope you never know how it feels to face redundancy, its a difficult enough time as it is without reading that people who have never even met you wish for you to loose your job. Oh, and Jane Norman were already saved from administration by EWM a full year ago

I was shopping in York and went into Jane Norman's. I tried on a top that was in the sale for £14, the original price was £28. I decided to buy the top and took it to the till. When the shop assistant rang the top in the till the price came up at £19.80. I commented that they are advertised at £14 on the rail. The shop assistant was very rude and marched to the front of the shop were the tops were displayed and brought all of them to the till and the were all clearly marked up at £14. The shop assistant said that they had been marked up incorrectly and that the price was £19.80 in al "lump it or like it" attitude. I asked to speak to a manager and she was just as rude and said that there was nothing that she could do. Is this how Jane Norman have now decided to make a profit by advertising incorrect prices and hoping that customers dont notice????

Found a lovely dress today on a rail stating £10.00 off, it was not the only one misplaced, the shop was tidy and organized. I tried the dress on and it looked great so I chose to purchase it. When I got to the till the full price came up and so I asked about the advertised discount. I was told that one of the shop assistants must have priced it incorrectly and basically it was tough. I complained to the weekend supervisor who was frankly rude, sarcastic and rolled her eyes at me. I won't step foot in there again unless head office can come up with an acceptable response to my formal complaint.

I brought a dress in November on next day delivery, by the time the delivery came 1 week later it was too late, the delivery was never actually made to me as I was not in, I received a card from the post man to collect it from the local office. Now I did not get a chance to collect the item (as I was on holiday)(which did not matter as it had arrived to late) so I though I would leave it to be returned to sender after 3 weeks. I contacted Jane Norman when it has been 4 weeks and they said they had not received it, I was told it must still be at the post office, I contacted the post office (by phone as customer services should be not just an email that they can use to fob you off!) and was told it had been returned I perhaps needed to wait a little longer. So I waited until it had been 2 MONTHS!!! and I still had no refund I have again contacted Jane Norman who still claim to have never received the returned parcel and so will not refund until they have it! It's a disgrace that I have ended up paying for something i have never received. I will be contacting my bank to dispute the transaction, I am completely disgusted with this company, if they had provided the next day delivery service which I had paid for this would never have happened! BUYER BEWARE - CUSTOMER SERVICES ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH EMAIL!!!

My girlfriend really wanted this black bodycon dress from the Jane Norman website as it was on a very special sale price (£10), I went ahead and placed the order but for some reason the website was extremely slow and kept crashing. I tried using my desktop and my tablet computer but was still having the same issues. Eventually I managed to place my order and got the confirmation email, The website isn't too badly laid out but it is somewhat laggy. The order was placed late at night so it's not as if there was much Internet traffic. Now onto the dress itself. The dress arrived in a couple of days (standard delivery), very neatly packed, folded and wrapped in tissue paper and mailed in a box not a jiffy bag. The dress itself was good quality, no poor stitching, no threads coming loose etc. I did carefully scrutinise the dress and couldn't find any flaws like some other reviewers have mentioned. My girlfriend is overall very happy with it. Would my girlfriend use Jane Norman again? Yes, however we will probably not use the website again due to the issues mentioned earlier in placing the order. We will happily buy from a Jane Norman shop though.

I would rather give Jane Norman zero stars for promoting deceptive online marketing techniques to lure unsuspecting customers. I had items in my bag for over 30 days which went on sale over the 4th of July holiday. I updated my cart to seize the opportunity of a sale but those sale prices were never reflected in my total price. Countless emails to customer service to correct the error fell on deaf ears. I will take my money elsewhere....to a company who investigates glitches in their systems and works tirelessly to ensure the customer is satisfied.
Very disappointed
